Being constantly being told he’s pretty and beautiful it gives him dysphoria, but he just goes along with it seeing as he hates making being upset- He’d rather be called handsome which is why he’s more likely to agree with someone that he’s handsome than ‘pretty or beautiful.’
He had to fight a lot to get onto the males volleyball team, he was very thankful at how expecting the school was even if he knew that a lot of people in Japan are overly expecting of those who are transgender.
He suffers from very bad cramps and ends up taking time off school during this time, seeing as he’s still very uncomfortable with having to use the bathroom when it’s that time of the month.
He often wears his binder while playing volleyball which leads to him getting remarks from his team members saying how stupid he is and should be more careful.
Oikawa believes fashion has no gender, he very much leans more to feminine fashion, seeing as he finds it a lot more cuter and comfortable ie; jumpers and shirts. He does find skirts very cute but is still very self conscious about wearing those outside of his room.
His older sister helping him out during his first period, doing her best to make her little brother feel good about himself.
Having the biggest crush on Matsukawa in his first year at highschool and totally being scared to talk to Matsukawa, thinking that his team mate might not take him seriously knowing he’s trans. Not only Matsukawa but the whole volleyball team being very supportive to Oikawa and for who he is and being proud of him, them loving their captain and believing in him no matter what.
Oikawa seeing Sugawara for the first time and just falling really hard? Whenever he would/goes to Karasuno he slips little love letters to Suga, saying how amazing he finds Suga and how ‘Refreshing’ it is when the idiot smiles, just Oikawa being totally in love with Suga but again holding back on admitting it seeing as Suga makes his little heart so weak and fluttery which confuses the fuck out of him??
Oikawa training really hard seeing as he really feels like he has to prove himself, he wants to be the best of the best and knows that many people want expect him no matter how good of a volleyball player he is.
Saving all his money up for SRS, but really wishes to get college etc; out of the way first before he even thinks about taking that step seeing as his goal is to get into Tokyo University. He wishes to do Photography, Social Science and art.
In my verse where he is at Tokyo University he no longer plays Volleyball due to him messing up is knee to the point of not being able to play anymore. It was either he can keep carrying on and end up with a walking stick for the rest of his life or stop now and walk okay. Within this verse he works at his grandmother’s florist which she’s pretty much gave to him as a birthday gift on his 21st birthday, From the money he get’s from there he is slowly saving up for him to be able to finally make that change in his life that he’s always wanted to have.
