“Until everything gets cleaned up, we might just have them.” He pulls a couple of bottles of water out of his pack and tosses one. “Here. Try not to guzzle it down too quick, seems the Alliance shafted me when it came to the more important things.”

Hah- No surprises there. <unscrews the cap and takes a sip> Run into anyone else, yet? I know Garrus is around somewhere. Miranda and Thane, too.

“Well, if you guys ever need an extra gun or some biotics to give ‘em a scare, I’m your man.” He slips off the ancient-looking rucksack Command gave him and opened it up. “Oh! They also gave me some rations for my trip here. As far as I know, it’s supposed to last me a week, but if anyone else needs, I can spare a few things. And don’t mind the bag, I think it’s for authenticity’s sake.”

Maybe they sent you in as a guinea pig to see how bad the radiation is. <scoffs, glancing at the rubble of a building> Kind of surprising, isn’t it? You’d think they would have this dump picked up and cleaned even before the Reapers hit. 

“Well at least now they have a better reason to do so. Though I doubt they’ll spring to it when half the planet’s still in ashes.” He adjusts the assault rifle slung on his back. “Well, I’m here to help now in anyway I can. Communications have been down since I got here, so I’ll be here a while. Have you been having any trouble with the ‘locals’?”

If by "locals" you mean gun-toting Russians with enormous dogs, yeah, a little bit, actually. <clicks his tongue> Not many on this side of the city, and there seem to be enough snipers around to keep them under control. As for myself- I've been staying out of sight. Guns have never really been my, uh, specialty.

“Yeah, for the most part. I’ve been tasked with doing a few things, P.R. things mostly, since the attacks left the whole planet in disarray. I’ve done a few things for the rebuilding effort as well…it’s going good, despite the influx of non-humans. I’m not sure why they sent me here of all places…seems like a ghost town. Except instead of ghosts, it’s radiation.”

Uhh, something like that. Took her in for ‘routine maintenance’, but I don’t think they’ll find anything. I mean, it’s been years and they still haven’t found any of my…extranet downloads. <clears his throat> EDI’s fine, though. Still picture-perfect.

“You think with her Reaper code, they’d be trying to tear her out…” He coughs nervously. “I’m glad she’s alright. I didn’t see her around, so I was unsure…it’s just, things have been rocky with, well, all of us since the Reapers were taken down.”

Honestly, I'm just glad it's over with. I think the least that the galaxy can do to thank us is leave us alone about it. <shrugs> Because I'm not really into the whole political scene. Anyway. You seem to be coping?

“They took away the Normandy? Again? What did they finally find the Cerberus tech they were looking for?” He lowers his voice. “Did the rest finally figure out EDI to be more than just a normal VI? I know Hackett had to have some idea when he last boarded.”
