i see your “situated next to aziraphale” and raise you “owned and operated by aziraphale.” intimate books as the shop is called is now a lgbt-friendly, women-friendly, sex-worker friendly shop run by the guardian angel of soho, and it stocks books, videos, toys, condoms, lubricants, etc, made ethically and without exploitation by sex-workers-for-sex-workers, as well as the largest collection of vintage and rare pornography in europe (in shop viewing only - not for sale). aziraphale doesn’t run it personally, though; he staffs sex workers who needed the job for whatever reason and he just trusts them to run the business however they want to run it, and they run it very, very well, while also doing a good lot of advocacy for safe working conditions and decriminalization of sex work, providing a safe place for sex workers and victims of human trafficking or abuse, and working to change the narratives around intimacy to one where intimacy should be not a set list of things to cross off, but rather an exploration of joy and fun and tenderness and passion and spiritually and nature and magic and comfort and life. it’s a very good little shop and aziraphale is very fond of it, and when crowley finds out about it he gets very flustered in a very short amount of time and then he gets a very good lesson from the staff about how to go about pleasing his angel - and they definitely know aziraphale’s an angel, because really - and how to make sure he’s also pleasing himself.
