She followed after him and walked through the door, taking note that she was in the presence of a gentleman which is refreshing to see. The raven haired girl welcomed the sun’s rays on her face. It felt great. Her feet started taking her towards the park, and to her tree where she always climbed up to relax. “I major in Native American studies with a minor in Environmental Science.” She turned to him and asked, “What about you?”
"Iii majored in Songwriting, Music Education, and Composition." He replied with a small smirk, looking ahead. The fact she didn't know he was a teacher was flattering, and reminded him he wasn't getting too much older than the students. "...After that I came to America and wound up signing up for a teaching course. Now I'm here teaching all of those things." He glanced back to her, awaiting the reaction to the information as they walked out onto the campus.
Vague & Mysterious || Paul and Roger
Unsure what to do with his saturday, Paul rolled out of bed and showered quickly. He knew he couldn’t stay in his apartment all day or else his thoughts would get the better of him, so he headed out into the sunshine towards the first place he could think of; the zoo. Once inside the gates, he wandered around the trails casually with his hands in his pockets and looked into various cages to try and find some of the animals. He really had no idea what he was doing there, but if it helped keep him from over thinking things, then he was going to spend the whole day there.
As he continued to wander, he paused in front of the wolf exhibit and watched the silver and white wolf pace back and forth with a soft smile. Then he spotted movement out of the corner of his eye and saw a figure also looking into the wolf exhibit that looked very familiar. It couldn’t be..
Roger proved not only that it could be, but it was. He lowered his camera after gaining a picture of the wolf. He stepped back to turn it off until he reached another exhibit, the device already filled with pictures from his very first visit. He beamed, watching the magnificent animal for some time longer before he stepped away.
He turned on a dime to head off to the next, but... something was familiar. He furrowed his brows under the sun, slowly to look again. When Paul caught his eye, he did a doubletake. "...Paul?" He hesitated, unsure if he was seeing things.
Waiting for Me? || Roger & Mike
"Her name is Celia," Mike said smiling to himself like he always did when he thought about her. "We met at Argo, if you can believe it. We both went to school there and we had a class together." Mike had obviously known who Celia was but she was way out of his league so he’d never spoken to her. Ever. "Some of the other students liked to pick on me and she pretty much defended me and my stupidity, which is really much more than I deserved. So after class I offered to buy her coffee and we spent the rest of the night talking." They had stayed in the coffee shop until they got kicked out at closing, and then they walked around Morristown talking some more. "I eventually took her home and asked her out on a date. Surprisingly she said yes," Mike laughed as he pulled into a parking spot at Duke’s. "We’ve been engaged for 9 years now."
"Really?" Roger turned his head at the beginning of his reply, his smile already beginning to return. He listened with interest clear in his eyes, love a fascination of his. Mike sounded like he was very much in love, and it was heartwarming. "Nine years has been quite some time, good man!" He laughed lightly, unable to kept but comment on it. He unbuckled when they stopped, opening the door and going to get out. "Whatever has been keeping the wedding?"

"Oh, sorry! Roger, okay." She nodded to him then followed his gaze to the sky outside. "Yes, that sounds great." She almost sighed in contentment. Being outside always made her feel better. Her own headache was lessening. "I’d love to and I’m in between classes now. I have plenty of time before my next class starts." Her smile was a tired but genuine one. "I know a good place where we can chat and no one will bother us."
"Lead the way, then!" He nodded, turning and beginning to walk towards the exit. He looked back to make sure she would, and held the door open after he went through. He slowed from there, every intent to follow as make an attempt at conversation. "So..." he started rolling his sleeves up; the fact they were long didn't help the state he was in with the heat coming down on them. "What are you a student of, Pocahontas?"
Back to Reality
"Oh..well." She didn’t know what to say at first. For once, she was at a loss for words. Pocahontas had a nagging suspicion that something more happened last night besides dancing she just hoped it wasn’t what she thought it was. "You just look familiar to me and I’m sorry if I’m coming across rude but I just want to know what else happened last night because I don’t remember much of it." She tried to remember but all it did was give her a headache. "Sorry, my name is Pocahontas and I think…" She had another aha moment and hoped she got it right. "Is your name Robert or Dodger?"
Due to Roger's lingering hangover, his returning smile was faint. He knew she genuinely didn't know his name, so he took no offense to it. In fact, he seemed rather amused by it. "Very close! My name is Roger, Roger Radcliffe." He greeted her with the most enthusiasm he could muster, standing tall and trying to feel awake as he possibly could. "Well, Pocahontas, I would like to remember what took place as well. Perhaps a stroll on campus, if your classes are over?" He glanced out at the sky despite the headache it'd given him, needing the fresh air to get out of the state he was in.
Dance Lessons (Part 2) // Aurora and Roger
"You didn’t seem to being a doing a very bad job at the party! You’re kinda a natural at it! You just needed the right teacher I suppose." She giggled in response to his modesty.
She was shaken out of her daze when she heard the car engine in the background. “Oh yeah! I uh live in the residence hall! in number C-2 on the first floor! It’s one of the first apartments on the floor, you can’t miss it! Just give me a call when your at the door!” as she hung up the phone Aurora slightly panicked she wasn’t exactly ready for company, She should of thought about that before she invited Roger over.
The professor took his time to arrive at Aurora's door. It wasn't to be rude, but he'd caught the slight panic in her voice when the call ended, and didn't want to be a burden. Thus he spent all the time he needed to eat, hoped it was enough time to gather her bearings, and headed off to the Residence Halls.
He rubbed his hands together and lifted his gaze to the door, taking a deep breath before he knocked.
"Afternoon," he shift his weight a little, smile coming, "I hope I'm not early."
-stumbles into Roger, singing drunkenly- CRUUUELLA DE VIL, CRUELLA DE VIL. IF SHE DONT SCARE YOU, NO EVIL THING WILL. TO SEE HER IS TO TAKE A SUDDEN CHILL! CRUELLA, CRUELLA DE VIL.
"Not bad, ol’ chum. That wouldn’t be too bad of a song…"

A Notice
"I know as of late..." Roger sucked in a breath, staring out to the rather large group he was addressing, "many of you have felt... uninspired. It's nothing uncommon, really, and I'm surprised that it's taken this long after starting this semester to kick in!" His lips formed a smile, he unclasping his hands to speak with them. "You have many things beginning to go along with your life, and that is out of your control. You don't need to feel bad about spending your time elsewhere, whether it be work or grades from fun, or fun from work or grades. It is perfectly understandable."
He slowed to a stop near the individual near the front, bringing his gaze down to them. "You needn't feel guilty for being out of time, or not feeling like it, or any of the latter. Just know that no matter your trouble, no matter what you get into, I will always be available should you need me. And there are plenty of others around you that would say the very same." The teacher reached over to slide his hands within the others'. "No matter what you leave behind, no matter what falls apart, you will always piece together what you need to make yourself happy. And even if we're apart, or do not know each other too well, I will be happy with whatever it is you do." He watched their expression, searching it for a smile. If he didn't find one, he tried to coax it out of them by pushing and pulling on them.
"You're going to be great. I can tell." He beamed, looking directly into your eyes as he spoke. "Don't you ever forget that."
Students & Songs || Roger & Ariel
"I get it. Everyone has their own system." She shrugged, continuing to look around for a moment at all of the things laying about. Ariel couldn’t help but chuckle.
"It looks more like you let a few monkeys come in and try to play. I think orchestra kids would have a heart attack if their stuff was just on the floor." Some band kids she had meant took their instruments way too seriously. She understood passion, because she possessed that herself, but there was a line. They’d let one note of a song take over their lives. It was crazy.
Ariel took the case carefully and looked over by the piano with a smile. Walking over to it, she couldn’t help but admire it. “How old is this piano? It’s gorgeous." The ginger placed the case down and out of the way, deciding to clear some papers off of the top of the piano and seeing if she could organize them somehow.
"That piano is aaaround... thirty years old. Older than I am." He turned back around to look over at the piano, a small smile coming to his face. He carefully strode over to join her, wiping dust off of the surface as the papers were cleared. "Older than I am. It was my mother's from home, but she insisted I take it overseas with me. We'r supposed to be getting another sometime soon, for students." He rested his hands against the surface, then broke out of his reminiscing state to look back at her. He hesitated, but went to pull out the seat from under it.
Once it was dragged out, he wiped it clean like the piano and went to take a seat. He moved over to the edge of it, making space for her as an offering. "You can try it, I don't mind at all!"
Conversations Over Coffee || Hook & Roger
Hook hummed curious as he listened to Roger speak, even going to pick up the spoon near him to lightly stir his own crappy cup of coffee. “I suppose that it true," he shrugged, glancing down towards his drink, “As long as they have the drive and will to better themselves, I like to believe they will succeed in life." His comment was half-serious; he cared, but not that much, really. “And having passion is helpful as well."
A brow perked up and James nearly tilted his head to the side. He had heard of a student who was doing just that, changing from oceanography to singing. He put the spoon back on the table with a delicate hand, “My my, a rather deep conversation, no?" A playful smirk pulled at the corner of his mouth and a soft laugh escaped him, “But I guess that is true. You must do what you love." He tilted his head slightly, “Would you consider that success?"
"Doing what you love?" Roger blinked, pausing to think on the question. Coming from a man who spent his life wanting to do just that, his answer was as honest as could be when he sat up. "I'd say so." He leaned back to lift his hand from his knee and rest his elbow on the chair, looking up from his coffee fondly. "After all, one could spend their entire life being away from the happiness they deserve just to pay the bills."
His relaxed his shoulders a little, the new-found fellow countryman putting him at ease. There weren't too many people he'd come across in the few states he'd been too alone, let alone the small town.
Waiting for Me? || Roger & Mike
"i go when I can," Mike answered as he took the curve very carefully. “It’s always nice to support all the Argo faculty that works there. Plus my fiancée loves it, so we go there a lot." That was a bit of an exaggeration. They used to go a lot but it had been awhile since they’d gone. In fact, it had been awhile since they had gone anywhere. Mike made a mental note to bring Celia some flowers tonight, or at least come Chinese food for dinner.
"Really? Well, I'd love to meet your fiancé sometime." Roger looked back at him, trying to imagine what kind of woman he'd be with. He had no doubt that they'd make a good couple, but it didn't sate his curiosity. He looked back out the window, going to rest his elbow against the door. "What's she like? How did you two meet?" He rested his chin in his hand, watching the sign of the diner in the distance.
Dance Lessons (Part 2) // Aurora and Roger
The sound of heavy buzzing started going on Aurora’s counter as she was fixing herself some lunch. She quirked her brow wondering who was calling. She smiled, it was Roger returning her call. The blonde clicked the answer button and spoke. “Oh Hey Roger, I’m guessing you got my message? So what do you say." She smiled under her breath hoping his answer was yes.
"I knew you said you wanted another swing at it and I was available, and I was just checking to see if you were."
"I suppose now that I won't stumble all over the place, which I'm terribly sorry for." Roger chuckled in reply, ducked under his car hood to get settled in. He sat back to retrieve his keys, biting his lower lip until they were free of the fabric.
"I'd love to go." He leaned forward, the sound of a car starting in the background of the phone call. "I don't know where to go. Do you live at the Residence Hall...?"
