A quick sketch of Hobkin and Ruddy. In my novel, while most fauns remain on two legs when past the age of toddlers, satyrs will regularly switch from bipedal to quadrupedal, especially while fighting or hunting.

Back with an update on "The Cloven Thief!" The books mentioned above were some of the biggest inspirations for when I was writing "The Cloven Thief," especially the Redwall series by Brian Jacques which I read constantly growing up and still adore. Anything work by Robin Jarvis and Tad William's "Tailchaser's Song" were also fantasies that I reread constantly and helped influence my writing style. I didn't read "Wings of Fire" until only a few years ago but it quickly became a favorite since I love anything with mythical creatures as the main stars.

If anyone is a fan of those series, I think you'll find something to love in my debut novel "The Cloven Thief" coming out in September 2026!

Sorry for the slow updates! Work has been extremely busy with getting ready with the upcoming premiere of Sofia the First: Royal Magic, but I want to get into the swing of getting more updates on "The Cloven Thief". Major update: the chapter illustrations and formatting is complete for the time being! Hoping to send out copies for early readers very soon. Have some more exciting updates coming soon!
