AG Mashups, kid group edition!

A previous post indicated that this mashup would have used Karate Man instead of ZYX, but the composition differences between the two songs turned out to be insurmountable.

One Step Closer goes from G minor to G major, changing at the pre-chorus. Rainy is classic Tsunku fuckery. It goes from C minor (relative to Eflat major) to Eflat minor, changing at the chorus. Iku ZYX Fly High is just Eflat minor throughout.

So yeah, it's not like ZYX and OSC are that synergistic in composition, either, but I went through with it because it's actually a combo going all the way back to the first years of my idol fandom. Before I learned any fanwork software (video, image, audio), I had the idea that these two songs carried similar vibes (disco stabs in a club production, performed by kid groups, released a little over a year from each other), and was determined to make a video mashup demonstrating as such.

alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

zyx is almost always alone. 99.99% of their life is spent alone. they are miserable. being alone with your thoughts, which comprise not only of your own, but also of a multitude of dead molten souls.... not pretty. gotta distract from that. other beings are great distraction. especially paired with risky behaviour.

bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?

the one prison you can't escape is your own body. when there's no experience worse than being alive....there's no place to be put that is worse.

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

when losing all composure, zyx destabilizes and loses form, melting back into a mass of goo that desperately tries to remember what having a body feels like. so they shift and shift, limbs trashing at random, melting, falling off, being taken in again. 1000 mouths groan in agony while half of their eyes are squeezed shut while the other half are wide open in fear. obsidian teeth grind together in search for relief. there is no relief. there is only agony.

mask: Does your OC wear a mask, literally or figuratively? What goes on beneath it? Is there anyone in their life who gets to see who they are under the mask?

zyx's main appearance of a small person that seems pretty harmless is in of itself a mask (considering the whole shapeshifter deal) its comfortable, its extrenely unserious. though every other apparance they chose is a farce, too. there is only masks. when you look inside in search of a core you'll find green slime. there is no "real" you. there can't be when "you" is many things. and none at all.

monster: Is your OC monstrous in any way? Is there something that makes them monstrous? Are they aware of their own monstrosity? Do they accept it or reject it?

they're an alien monster thing. yeah. they are hyperaware. sometimes they revel in it, sometimes they really really hate themselves for it. most of the time they do both.

pain: What's the worst pain your OC has ever felt? Do they have a high pain tolerance?

yup very high pain tolerance, probably because they regenerate any damage sustained no problem. they're a space cockroach. can't killem.

torture: Has your OC ever been tortured? Would your OC ever torture someone else?
