Feelings on RWBY so far, mostly about Weiss's scenes.

Whitley her brother. He makes me rather nervous. Given his older siblings both rebelled against their family, I have a feeling youngest child was kept on a very short leash and has some inherited issues with his sisters thanks to daddy's raising. Hard to tell if he has much for combat training, but he might have been restricted on what he could have learned, for risk of him joining the military or leaving Atlas. I have a feeling if he sees Weiss doing anything papa wouldn’t agree with, he’ll either report it to him or threaten to, to Weiss.

Next, we haven't seen her but she's been mentioned. Mama Schnee. Apparently husband yelling at her isn't an uncommon thing and it's hinted she may have a drinking issue? Hard to say until we see more.

Onto Papa (Jacques) Schnee. And I hate this man already. I hate these types of parents. The way he spoke, the passive aggressiveness, the passive manipulation. The way he spoke to his daughter immediately pissed me off so much! He manipulates his words in such a way that to say no makes you look like the bad guy. Makes you question if what you want to do is the wrong thing. 'Oh you don't want to sing? But it'll make so many people happy.' He doesn't seem to care that Weiss just went through a very traumatizing experience. 'You were there, front lines of the fall of Beacon, protecting the people and school. We need to remind everyone of that. Oh, you also watched countless people wounded and killed by grimm, and I'm forcing you to remember and embrace that for the public? But it'll make so many people happy.' Yeah, no. I fucking hate this man.

A couple side notes. First, that family portrait. Winter looked so damn uncomfortable with the whole thing. Not just her expression, look at her posture. Look how she was gripping her skirt so tightly, trying to keep herself together. This is probably shortly before she joined the military.

Second, the kids obviously get their white hair from their mother. Yes, I know Papa Schnee has white hair, now. But that portrait of him in the office shows black hair, and the family portrat shows him going grey/white. So the white hair is probably rather recent. Which brings up my question. Given the family's emblem, and the fact their semblence is passed down through blood lines- Is Papa Schnee a real Schnee? Or did he marry in and drop his own family name, since he was marrying up? White hair is probably linked to the family's Semblence, and Papa Schnee isn't naturally white, Mama Schnee is. Interesting. So it makes me wonder what his Semblance might be?

Onto the butler. I actually like this guy so far. The different eye color/personalities to go with them was both confusing and interesting. And he seems to care about Weiss a lot. This guy was probably more of a father figure to Weiss then Papa Schnee ever was. Also, if he has 7 eye color/personalities it's totally the seven dwarves to go along with 'Snow White' Weiss.

So Pride is coming up in the city I live in, and I’m excited to be going for the first time in a couple years (bad timing with work). But the couple times I’ve gone before myself, and the years I missed at least one of my friends went, they were unable to find anything Ace related. Heck, a lot of places said the ‘A’ was Ally only, no mention of Ace. So yeah, pretty annoying and actually upsetting. But I wanted to go this year wearing something Ace related, since I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find anything there (If there is, I’M BUYING IT. Seriously, I’m gonna support anyone who includes Ace stuff at their booths!).

So earlier this month I was looking on Etsy and found this store.

I’d looked at these necklaces before and decided, what the heck lets get it! It arrived yesterday, and I have to say I’m SUPER happy with it. Funny enough the quality is better then the store picks make it look, and the necklace charms are magnetic so I can switch between any of these four covers.

Grif and Simmons recruited. Sarge winning the unintentional Red Hunger Games and getting a promotion. And Tucker... being Tucker. Does that mean next episode is just gonna be Cabooses recruitment? I mean I know he shows up later, after Flowers is dead, but I wanna know how Caboose was picked!

As you already might have guessed with the lack of updates, this blog will be on hiatus for the moment. With the speed of new content PMD-U has been going, I've lost some motivation for this blog. Considering I've been running it for a few years now, I guess a break was needed.

Let me emphasize first, THIS BLOG IS NOT ENDING. Please keep that in mind. I simply need a break and once the story starts moving again in the group I'm sure my inspiration will come back. I have deleted all but a couple asks from the inbox, there were a couple I still want to answer but most have been sitting in there for a LONG time because I didn't know how or didn’t want to, answer them.

The inbox will remain open if you want to message me, and I will still be lurking a lot since I follow so many people and I enjoy their content. Once I return full force here, I will make an announcement and also request new asks to hopefully help spark more creativity in me.

This doesn't mean I'm disappearing from ask blogs. As you might have seen in my previous post a month back, I've started a new blog outside the PMD universe with new characters. Right now I'm really enjoying working on it, and with a smaller cast of characters I feel less overwhelmed. If you want to continue seeing my work, I'd recommend checking out Ask Forest Oddities. While It's only been open for a little over a month, I've tried to keep a consistent flow of content.

Back when I was 11 I spent pretty much ALL my time on Neopets. My first username was web_rider555 (Yes completely original. I was 11 and stupid, shush) but when I was 13 I wanted a cool unique name like all the different people I followed on Neo that didn’t have numbers. And just when I was thinking that I started watching a new TV show, Code Lyoko. 

Instead of being original and thinking up something I tried Lyoko as a name. Surprise! It was taken. So as you can guess I just changed letters to something I thought sounded cool and wasn’t taken, Zyoko.

It was shortly after that I joined a guild on Neo, and made for the first time a shit ton of online friends and became an admin of that group. I can’t remember WHO started it, but one of the other members I assume was lazy one day and just called me Zyo. Aaaand it just kinda stuck. While I still use Zyoko for most sites (especially since a lot require usernames of at least 5 characters), for the most part I just go by Zyo.

As for secondary name (Hawkein) it was made when my friend forced me to join Gaia Online. Anyways, I tried using my new Neo name but it wouldn’t work (either too short or taken, can’t remember). I tried Hawken as a name and it was taken so again, my go to, switch a letter or add one in that doesn’t screw up the sound. I tend to just use Hawkein if my main name is taken, or, more commonly, requires a username of 6 characters or more.

My dad gave me his Xbox 360 when I went to visit him for thanksgiving, I’ve never owned any video game system besides Nintendo before so here’s a question for people!
