Golden hour on the way to Apeldoorn Here with 257 Harry in front, and 372 Hannes behind us. And a celebratory blast of the air horn (or typhoon as wel call it in Dutch) to herald the start of the day. 6:12 in the morning, and the very first Arriva train departs from Zutphen station. As driver youāll have to be there a bit earlier though; all the trains are still asleep and it takes a little time for them to start up. But getting up early is well worth the beautiful views.
A little video to celebrate being very nearly almostĀ done with my train driverās course. Iād actually passed all my exams a few weeks back, just been waiting on my driverās license so to speak. It should come next week. Iām excited but also nervous - itās a big responsibility and itāll be my first time all alone! But hopefully the trains all behave and things go well. Hope youāll enjoy this little view from my workplace.
