~
Aang
Aang would be ecstatic.
He hadn't told you, but he wanted nothing more than an army of children to pass on his teachings to and keep his culture alive.
He would wait on you every second of the day. You needed for nothing and got all you wanted on top of that. Every strange craving, every tantrum, every breakdown, he took care of you.
It only got worse as your pregnancy progressed, Aang never leaving your side out of fear of you getting hurt.
"I'm going to take care of you and our little one, you understand?"
"Nothing will stop me from protecting you."
Azula
Azula would panic at first.
She would disappear, neglecting all of her royal duties for days.
You would be hysterical. You knew she wouldn't take it well, but running away? That you did not anticipate.
She would however return after a few days, tears in her eyes as she apologized and held you close, whispering how lucky you were and how beautiful your baby would be.
Azula prepared a nursery immediately, and called in royal servants to wait on you hand and foot. You had everything you could ever need.
Katara
"I think I'm pregnant."
Katara froze, and tears hit her eyes before she embraced you, rubbing your back as she said how happy she was.
She would care for you herself, using her water bending to heal any bruise, nick, or pain you felt.
You would feel so loved, and you knew your baby would be loved too.
Sokka
Sokka would laugh hysterically, wheezing as he finished with a hand on his knee.
"Good one!"
"I'm not joking."
He sobered up so fast, his face falling as he realized you were dead serious.
"Are you sure?"
You nodded, sniffing nervously as you waited for the happy reaction you had hoped for.
His face changed as he processed, a smile spreading across his face.
"I love you."
He would kiss you, pulling you in by the waist as he showed you just how happy he was.
Toph
Toph would let her signature grin out as she bent down to kiss your belly.
"Hey little one. You're gonna be the most badass kid ever."
You would laugh and pull her up for a kiss, embracing her as you did.
"I love you," you mumbled, closing your eyes.
"I love you too."
Zuko
Zuko would definitely be the one to notice your pregnancy.
The morning sickness you brushed off, the mood swings, the lack of bleeding in the last few months.
"(Y/n), have you considered you might be pregnant?"
"Of course not."
He dropped it, waited a few weeks, and you began to notice your weight gain. You complained to him about it, and he mentioned it for a second time.
"Are you sure you're not pregnant?"
You burst into tears, suddenly coming to terms with what had been in the back of your mind.
"It's okay, (Y/n). We're going to be okay. I'll take care of both of you."

i love your works! could i request a zuko x reader scenario where the reader and zuko first meet at the northern water village (reader saves zuko from drowning during that full/blood moon) and sees zuko again when he joins the gaang? theyâre training and the reader heals a cut on his face and they kissđ? thank you!
oooooo I havenât gotten a water bending reader request yet đ thisâll be fun
also thank you! Iâm definitely enjoying myself
When you saved Prince Zukoâs life, youâd had no idea who he was.
Okay, to clarify, you did know he was a firebender. That much was obvious, from the fact that he was under the ice of the northern water tribe, melting his way through it.
Youâd been wandering down toward one of your favorite hideaways, a little platform closer to the waterâs surface that doubled as a pipeâs drainage point. Youâd been sitting there, legs dangling so that you feet almost touched the water, when you heard a thump behind you. You turned, and saw nothing, and so ignored it. But a moment later you heard sizzling, and turned to see red-hot hands pressed up against the thick ice.
At that moment, it didnât matter that he was a firebender. It mattered that he was trapped under the ice.
You shot to your feet and skidded to your knees over top of him, just as you watched his hands detach from the surface of the ice. Heâd lost his air- and was sinking downward.
Immediately you split the ice open and used water bending to create a current upwards, spitting out enough of his torso that you could drag him from the water. He was lucky, and hadnât yet taken a lungful of water, and so when you dropped him on his back he took a big, gasping breath.
âAre you okay?â You asked him, concern in your eyes for a moment before you asked something else. âWhat in Tuiâs name were you doing under the ice?â You demanded, honest concern for the safety of this clearly insanely brave individual in your tone. But he looked up at you with a cold expression, and you sat back with a sigh as realization clutched your heart.
He was a firebender. The city was under siege. There were likely soldiers like him everywhere, crawling in like elephant rats through any holes they could find.
âOh. Right.â You looked over his shoulder and with a hand motion, resealed the hole youâd pulled him from. He made no attempt to move, and made a few puffs of flame to try to warm up.
âYou donât look like a soldier,â you told him, and his fire began to turn from the cooler red flame to the hotter orange.
âIâm not,â he answered, which soothed your fears a slight bit. The night was eerily silent, but the movement of the water at the mouth of the pipe echoed through its length and past the two of you. There was an odd sense of peace- a firebender and a water bender, at a truce, within a pipe. His nation was laying siege to your capital city, but you wouldnât hold that against him. Forgiveness, and unconditional love. Thatâs what you loved about your people, and you would let it guide you. You wouldnât let someone drown- not even a fire bender.
You only hoped that you wouldnât discover that he killed Princess Yue or something, you decided, as you watched him sneak off into the streets of the city. But you had faith in him. After all, he couldâve killed you.
When three months later you were a part of Team Avatar, you still hadnât known that the boy you saved was indeed Prince Zuko. Youâd joined Team Avatar late, only for the eclipse invasion, and so had only heard tales of the angry banished prince who caused so much harm. The two were definitely not the same person, it hadnât ever even occurred to you that they could be.
So when Zuko turned up at the Western Air Temple, your first response was unbridled joy.
âItâs you!â Youâd shouted before he could say a word, and rushed forward to hug him even as he stood stalk still in surprise. You turned back to Aang with a huge smile, relieved with this turn of events.
âGuys, this is perfect! Heâs a firebender, but heâs good. I met him back at the Northern Water tribe, on the day of the lunar eclipse. Heâs good, heâs-â you turned to Zuko, a sheepish look of embarrassment on your face.
âIâm sorry, I never knew your name,â you said, before Katara spoke from behind you.
âThatâs Zuko,â she spat, and your shoulders dropped. âY/N, step away from him. I donât know what you know, but heâs not what you think.â
You found it easier to accept him then a lot of the gang did. You had only ever seen the good side of him, and even though youâd heard of the bad, you just remembered that shivering teenager youâd rescued and the honest thankfulness in his eyes when he saw you.
You saw the relief on his face every time you sent him a smile, because you wanted him to know that you were supportive of his change of heart. He began to gravitate toward you, knowing that conversation with you wouldnât feel awkward or forced.
Youâd seen the good in him, and now you were sure of it.
When he wasnât training Aang, heâd gotten into the habit of sparring with you. Hand to hand combat, without bending, had been a focus of yours ever since the lunar eclipse back at the North Pole, and even moreso after the Day of Black Sun. Both eclipses made you realize that it was easier than you expected for a bender to lose their ability, and illustrated just how much your fighting relied on your bending.
So the two of you started sparring together. Youâd learned how to convert some of your waterbending into close quarter combat, and he began to do the same with his firebending. It made you better fighters, benders, and made you a better team.
Sometimes, though, it got a little rough.
On the beach in front of the Fire Lordâs vacation home on Ember Island, you both stood with bare feet in the sand. Heâd taken off his shirt, and you any layer you could spare, as the physical activity warmed you both up. The sun was setting, turning the sea all sorts of blood red, and Katara was in the process of making up dinner, which was why the two of you were free to do this. You were both standing with your fists up, tense and ready for the other to make the first move.
As soon as you did, he ducked his torso out of the way and attempted to jut his fist into your sternum, which you caught with your wrist and shoved it downward. Your opposite hand made use of the opening left by his fist and you tried to get a jab into his chest, but he blocked it out to the side, opening up your torso for a kick that thrusted you backward. You stumbled but got your balanace, giving him a soft, playful snarl before rushing back toward him with a flurry of hand movements that he skillfully blocked. You grew frustrated and, without thinking, slashed with your left hand, palm up and open, away from your chest. It sent water up and to his face, centralized into a small enough stream that it gave him a shallow cut along his left cheek.
The sparring match stopped dead as you covered your mouth with your hands.
âOh spirits Iâm so sorry,â you said, one hand gently reaching out to cup his face. âIâm going to heal it, itâll be fine, you wonât even notice. Iâm so sorry.â With a light laugh he wrapped his hands around your wrist, his eyes locked on to you.
âItâs fine, Iâm okay,â he said, and yet still you felt horrible.
âI didnât mean to, I swear,â you said, your right hand drawing water from the ocean and quickly you purified it by letting the salt fall out. Your left hand pulled from his cheek for just long enough to cover it in water, and slowly you pressed your hand back onto the cut. You didnât quite touch his skin, but let the water soak onto his face, and though you focused on making the water glow with healing, you vaguely noticed that heâd closed his eyes, and let out a small puff of air.
The waterâs glow faded, and you lifted your hand to check that the cut was gone. Once youâd confirmed it was, you took your right hand to discard the water, leaving your left hand still cupping his cheek.
âIâm sorry,â you said again, this time whispering. The waves crashed on the shoreline, but heâd heard you. His eyes opened slowly and your breath caught, for a moment astounded by the gold that shimmered behind his eyelids.
You told your whimpering heart that he hadnât been this pretty when you first met him.
His left hand slowly detached from your wrist and reached out toward you, first tucking back a strand of your hair that had fallen into your face, then letting it fall to the back of your neck. From there, he slowly brought you in, as though giving you time to pull away.
You wouldnât.
As much as you wanted to keep your eyes open, to watch him, for as long as you could, instantly youâd closed your eyes and let him guide you into his lips. He was warm, beyond the warmth of exercise, and you realized youâd heard somewhere that firebenders were naturally warmer just as waterbenders were naturally cooler. Zuko was exceptionally warm- you felt almost as though you could fall asleep with his arms around you the way they were, the comfort of his heat and his contact soaking into your bones.
And his lips. Though they were chapped, they still managed to feel so soft, and he tilted his head in just the right way so that the two of you fit together, perfectly.
âHey, Y/N, Zuko, Kataraâs got-â Sokka, who had appeared over the hills, stopped dead in the middle of his scentence to turn around and walk back to the house. âDinner,â he called over his shoulder, giggling a bit, and as you pulled from Zukoâs lips with a smile you could already imagine the kind of comments the two of you would get during the meal.
With a single look to Zukoâs face, his expression soft and caring, you decided you didnât mind.
I saw the smut sunday and all I could think about it Zuko with a breeding kink
Warnings: Unprotected sex, breeding kink
His thrust were steady as Zuko made love to you, His arms were placed beside you to keep himself up. âIâm going to fill you up,â he moaned, âcanât wait to see you full with my sperm.â
You never saw this side of Zuko before but you loved it so much, âthen do it! Cum in me,â you said wrapping your arms around his body to hold him closer. It was all Zuko needed to hear, he released his load in you. The white substance coated your walls and made you cum as well. Zuko rode your orgams out before he stopped completely.
âYou really want to start a family?â you asked him. âMore than anything my love.â
Rays of sunlight fanned out behind her. If Y/n thought the capital city was boiling, Ember Island was even worse. The midday sun made her itch her to rip off her heavy combat robes.
âSo youâve packed the entire palace armoury. But you forgot a swimsuit?â Ty Lee said brushing her hand against Y/nâs long sleeve.
âThis isnât exactly supposed to be a vacation for me,â she responded, looking at the bag she held packed to the brim with stuff. Y/n knew she had a habit of being overly prepared. Suki and the others always joked that maybe she was a little bit too paranoid. But after everything thatâs happened in her life, she couldnât help it. If there was anything she could do to keep those around her safe, she would do it. Even if it meant looking crazy.
Her beach bag, also known as the Fire Lord Zuko emergency kit, swayed on her arm. It was filled with anything you could possibly think of. Y/n grew more concerned for the Fire Lord every day. It was her job after all. And nothing more than that. She was simply a bodyguard who cared about the person she protected. Maybe she stayed up countless nights worrying about him too. Wasnât that normal? She thought to herself.
âOk, so the pink swimsuit or the white one?â Ty Lee said holding up the swimsuits to her face. Y/n hadnât taken the time to notice Ty Lee digging through her countless swimsuits on the bedroom floor of the house they were staying in. Ty Lee always had the most impeccable fashion taste. Y/n pointed at the pink swimsuit with little frills on the ends. This was sort of exciting for her. She never really had the opportunity to wear something so cute on a regular basis.
Y/n quickly changed into it and it met with the others in the living room. She walked over to where Zuko stood.
âOh. You lookâŚdifferent,â he said, his face started to get flushed. It was strange they had barely been outside and he was burning already.
âThanks?â Y/n was not sure how to respond to him. She was technically on official duty. Was she allowed to accept a compliment from the Fire Lord? She wasnât sure if that even counted as a compliment.
âWow, Y/n you look so cute!â Suki said. The colour of Y/nâs cheeks was beginning to match her swimsuit.
âSays you! You always look really nice Suki,â Y/n said, fumbling her words and desperately hoping that Suki did not notice how awkward she was.
âYouâre darn right Y/n,â Sokka wrapped his arm around Suki and grinned.
âWait, can someone tell me why Sokka is here again?â
âThereâs a very simple reason---â
While he was explaining the purpose of his trip here, a loud boat blared itâs horn in the distance blocking out anything Sokka was saying.
âAnd thatâs why Iâm on Ember Island,â Sokka said, acting like everyone had heard him talk for the last 30 seconds. Y/n simply nodded and everyone followed.
--
âWhatâs in the giant bag Y/n? Little apple slices and extra towels for Zuzu?â Azula said while laying down a beach towel for Ty Lee.
âActually yes. I brought snacks, sunscreen and swords. Just in case,â Y/n stated now slightly embarrassed. Was it too much? she thought to herself.
Next to Azula sat Zuko attempting to put sunscreen on his back. Azula really was right. Maybe she was more his babysitter than a bodyguard.
âI sorta need help applying it on my back,â Zuko said.
âSure--,â she responded. But before she could fully answer him Sokka interrupted.
âWhy didnât you say so earlier, buddy! Sokkaâs got you covered.â Y/n exhaled in relief that Sokka had volunteered. Would everyone get the wrong idea by her volunteering? She was just doing her job in protecting the Fire Lord.
While Sokka sat down behind Zuko, Azula said, âWhy, isnât that a forward way of asking Y/n to rub your back.â
âAzula, stop teasing them. You promised me we would sightsee!â Ty Lee grabbed Azula and took her away. Y/n was incredibly grateful for that.
âLater losers,â she winked and with that, they were gone.
Her attention was drawn back to Zuko, who had just shouted in shock as Sokka slapped the sunscreen onto his back.
âYou donât need to slap it! Youâre getting it everywhere!â
âWeâre in the sand! And this way it spreads faster! I put lotion on this way, donât worry about it,â Sokka shouted back at him, aggressively rubbing the sunscreen onto Zukoâs back.
Suki appeared next to Y/n, laughing, âYeah, and Katara keeps telling you to stop doing it that way. You got it in her eye last time.â
âShe doesnât understand efficiency,â Sokka said, standing up. He nodded proudly at Zukoâs now protected skin, satisfied that his friend wouldnât burn.
âWanna check him out Y/n? Bodyguardâs seal of approval!â
Y/n blushed a little at Sokkaâs phrasing. She glanced quickly at Zuko, whose face was also slightly red.
âUm, he looks fine to me,â she muttered. âIf he does burn though, Iâm holding you responsible.â
Sokka gasped in mock offence, âIâd never allow that! I know how sensitive our precious Fire Lordâs skin is. Plus, I know not to mess with a Kyoshi Warrior.â
Y/n smiled at his comment. She could see Suki rolling her eyes at him out of the corner of her eye, but she was smiling as well. Â
Getting up from his spot on the beach, Zuko said, âAlright, are you done making fun of me? You know I can have you all banished. Who knows when Iâll snap.â
Sokka slapped his shoulder again, âI will never be done making fun of you. You owe me for all that time you spent trying to kill me!â
âThat was years ago!â
âAnd it still hurt!â
Y/n leaned over to whisper to Suki, âAre they always like this?â
âAlways,â Suki sighed. She let them bicker for a few moments longer before cutting Sokka off. âOkay! What do you both want to do on the beach? Sitting alone in the shade is off the table, so donât even think about that.â
Zuko frowned, âThat felt directed at me.â
Ignoring Zuko, Sokka flung his arms up in glee, âWe should play chicken!â
âChicken?â Y/n questioned.
âYeah! That game where you sit on someoneâs shoulders and try to push another person off of someone elseâs shoulders! Trust me, itâll be fun!â Sokka replied.
Y/n glanced at Zuko, who looked just as hesitant as she felt. He shifted nervously in the sand. Zuko being anxious about the game flipped a switch in Y/n, and she looked back to Sokka.
âOkay I'm in,â she said.
âReally?â Suki questioned. âIâm surprised youâre willingly relaxing. I thought you didnât know how to.â
Y/n rolled her eyes at Suki, âPlease, I know how to relax. Going along with Sokka just seems to be the most painless option.â
Zuko chuckled at her comment. Y/n started to smile at him, before realizing what had exactly happened. He had laughed. That was the first time sheâd ever heard him do that and it had been at something sheâd said. Up until this moment, heâd only ever lightly smiled at her. Y/n wasnât sure how to feel about this development.
Oblivious to her crisis, Sokka was trying to decide the teams.
âObviously it should be you with me, Suki! Weâre a great team! Romantically and tactically!â
âI understand that! But isnât it a little unfair for Y/n and Zuko then?â
Sokka made a face like he was thinking deeply and stroked his chin, âFair enough, fair enough. Zuko and I do make a killer team too! Or should I pair with Y/n and challenge myself with an unknown teammate?â
Sensing the danger of Sokka trying to decide his teammate, Suki grabbed Y/nâs arm, âIâll pair with Y/n. Kyoshi Warriors vsâŚâ
âThe Boys! No wait, The Swordsmen! Wait, Fire and Water!â Sokka shouted.
âI like the second one,â Zuko said.
âIs a team name that important?â Y/n asked.
âJust let him have this,â Suki whispered to her.
Y/n shrugged and the group walked towards the crashing waves. Sheâd never played this game before and was a little worried. She was also hesitant to go too deep into the water. Despite living on Kyoshi Island for most of her life, she wasnât exactly an experienced swimmer. Before her panic could settle in, water was splashing just above her elbows.
âThis seems deep enough! Alright Zuko, letâs go!â Sokka said, already starting to climb onto Zukoâs shoulders.
âSokka, wait! Give me a warning next time!â
Y/n turned to Suki, âWould you do me the honour of climbing on my shoulders and knocking your boyfriend into the ocean?â
Suki dramatically put her hand over her heart, âI would love nothing more.â
Suki climbed onto Y/n shoulders much more gracefully than Sokka. Making sure she was balanced, Y/n got ready for the game to begin. She watched Sokka balancing himself on Zukoâs shoulders, allowing herself a smile as Zuko tried to blink out the water that kept dripping into his eyes. Their eyes suddenly connected and her smile turned into a challenging grin. Zuko smiled back at her, silently accepting her challenge.
âAlright, get ready⌠Go!â Sokka said.
He and Suki began pushing at each otherâs shoulders. Y/n quickly realized how hard it was to keep her balance in the water and her feet slipping in the sand. She could see Zuko coming to a similar realization, his own inexperience showing. Despite that, Zuko held her challenging gaze. Y/n felt her competitiveness flare and she tightened her grip on Suki. No way was she about to lose to the Fire Lord.
Their game only lasted a few moments longer, ending with Suki landing a particularly hard shove against Sokkaâs collarbone. He toppled back off of Zuko, causing water to soak the back of Zukoâs head. Suki let herself slip off of Y/nâs shoulders while laughing in victory. They exchanged a high five and Y/n looked back at the stunned Fire Lord in front of her. Caught up in her victory, she offered her hand to him.
âGood game, Fire Lord,â she smirked at him.
Zuko stared at her offered hand for a few seconds, before grasping it with his own and smirking back. His hand was warm despite the cool water and his grip firm. Before Y/n could release his hand, a wave hit her back, pushing her into Zuko. The water went up to her neck and a sharp panic shot through her. Sheâd forgotten her inability to swim amidst the excitement. Her panic clouded her mind and she reached out blindly in an attempt to ground herself. She only realized what was happening when she felt a warm hand on her back.
Y/n blinked, her eyes focusing. In her panic, sheâd grabbed for the closest solid object. That had just so happened to be Zuko. They were standing in a poor imitation of a hug, her hands gripping his shoulders and his hands on her shoulder and back. He looked down at her, concern evident on his face.
âAre you okay?â he asked.
His voice quickly cleared Y/nâs mind. She pulled her hands back from him as if she had been burned. Her reaction caused Zuko to drop his hands from her as well.
Floating back and face burning, Y/n hugged herself, âIâm fine. Iâm just not used to waves and swimming.â
Zuko furrowed his brow, âYou canât swim?â
âNo. Iâve never needed to learn. Itâs not like thereâs deep water at the palace. You donât need to worry about me not being able to save you like this.â she replied curtly.
âI didnât mean-â
Y/n turned away, cutting him off. She knew that was incredibly rude but she couldnât handle talking to Zuko anymore. Her face was still flushed with embarrassment and anger now. Sheâd never been that close to him before. She didnât know why it bothered her so much, she was his bodyguard. It was expected that sheâd get that close to him. Y/n ignored the fact that it was supposed to be to save his life, not to hug him out of fear.
âSuki!â she shouted. Sukiâs head popped out from underwater, followed by Sokkaâs. âIâm going back to the beach. You keep swimming.â
Suki looked mildly concerned but gave her a thumbs up. Y/n began trudging through the water towards the beach, but Zuko caught her by the elbow. She whipped her head around, anger in her eyes.
âWait,â he said. âIâll come with you.â
âYou donât need to-â
âYes, I do.â he paused, thinking. âI want to keep you company after that. You seem pretty shaken up.â
She frowned at him. He gave her a shaky smile.
âBesides, youâre supposed to be protecting me, right? Itâd be irresponsible to leave me alone out here.â
âYouâre with the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors and a close friend of the Avatar. Not to mention youâre literally the Fire Lord,â Y/n deadpanned.
âYou think that youâre not capable of protecting me then?â
Y/n narrowed her eyes at him. She recognized his challenge as an attempt to apologize without embarrassing her further. She sighed.
âFine, come sit with me. Iâve heard how much you like to sit in the shade and brood.â
