First off, Zuke really tries to understand the perspective of other people, especially those he cares about. So pretty soon after he meets you, he does some research into Siren culture. He doesn't want to ask you a hundred questions about your life right off the bat, but he wants to get a grip on where you're coming from.

So he figures out pretty quickly that you might be singing-insecure, even if he hasn't for sure found out yet. It makes sense in his mind as there's a stigma around the voice of Sirens and he can see that you're shy.

He also considers that your voice might be a sensitive subject, so he never comments on it. As much as he grows fond of the sound of your voice, he even stops himself from complimenting it, in case he says something wrong.

As he gets to know you better and the two of you get closer and more trusting, he might start asking you if there's anything he can help boost your confidence in, or if you like singing, etc. This isn't just focus on singing, so you know - he wants to learn more about you and treat you with the love you deserve. He wants you to be comfortable being authentic around him and to be able to do the same with you.

If he overhears you singing, he doesn't always let you know, as he doesn't want to intrude when you feel comfortably alone.

Occasionally though, whether he means to or not, he catches you while checking on you or passing by. He just smiles at you and tells you that you sound nice and like you're having fun. He can tell that you're embarrassed, and while he doesn't want to make you more uncomfortable, who wants to ease your stress. He says, "Hey, don't be embarrassed. I love you. That means I love your singing too."

It's a steady journey into confidence with Zuke. He doesn't push you to sing ever, but he quietly lets you know that it's okay. He might sing or hum along with you if he knows the tune. Or sometimes he doesn't comment and gives you the space. Sometimes he puts on music and "randomly" your favorite song comes on. And sometimes, he takes your hands and smiles as he sings with you.

Immediately rushes to take care of you when he finds out - be that jumping out of bed to get you comfy after waking up next to you, or coming over to your house as soon as he has a chance.

Makes sure you have everything you might need - medication, blankets, pillows, water, food, you name it. He’ll make a store trip for anything, and even come back with something extra like candy or flowers in hopes the surprise cheers you up.

He sounds as calm as ever when he talks to you, even when he’s worried or feeling bad. He gives you lots of little reassurances that you’ll feel better soon, and he doesn’t mind tending to you.

He’ll put other business on hold just to look after you, and he won’t let you feel guilty about it.

Although if he does have to leave you, he sends you text messages checking in on you.

He’s ready to spend time with you, but he doesn’t want to get sick himself, and he’s not the most comfortable with illness. So you may find him washing up often, and a little hesitant to get too in your space. He’ll still hold your hand and sit next to you though, and make sure you’re comfy.

One of the first things he does is put a cool cloth on your head. Even if you don’t have a fever, he thinks it will help.

If you try to get up and do things, he just gently persuades you back to resting. He’ll even do chores for you so you don’t worry about them.

If you want to talk but can’t, he’ll text you from right next to you. Or if you just don’t want to talk at all, that’s fine too. He’ll help you find something entertaining to do.

He won’t let you fight off sleep. Whatever your reason is, he finds a way to dispel it. Worried you’ll have nightmares or stress dreams? He promises to stay with you to calm you down. Can’t fall asleep? He’s telling you a funny story of something that happened to him, or putting on chill music. Feel like you’re bothering him? Not at all, he can keep himself busy while you get the rest you need.

He offers to massage anywhere that aches, and he’s gentle when he does so.

Tries to be as quiet as possible with everything he does, in case you’re sound sensitive.

Dj is not really the Christmas type. He dislikes cold weather, and he thinks the carols are obnoxious. However, what he doesn't mind is cuddling s/o and ranting about how ridiculous the Santa myth is

He enjoys Christmas mostly for the parties and showing off his s/o to annoy Zuke. S/o should expect to be dragged under a mistletoe when Zuke is nearby.

Neon is pretty busy but around the holidays, scheduling Christmas concerts and signing deals for Christmas-themed 1010 merch. But it makes sharing warm cuddles with s/o all the more enjoyable.

Eve is also a bit of a holiday nut. She goes out of her way to make custom sweaters for her and s/o, and she stresses out a lot to find the perfect gifts for them.

Here's a little secret: Zuke likes metal too.

So right away you two hit it off by talking about your favorite bands and songs.

He has some memorabilia and albums that he's happy to show off. And anything you want to listen to, he's happy to let you borrow once he trusts that you'll return it in good condition.

And he's interested in seeing anything you've collected as well. He loves to discover new music, so anything you recommend that he hasn't heard he's happy to listen to.

Oh, and he's so down to go to concerts. (Provided that either of you have the funds to travel outside of Vinyl City. It's a while after game before new artists start holding concerts.)

Speaking of concerts, Zuke likes to be prepared. So before you go anywhere, he makes you each have water, safe money storage, and any other little measures to stay safe and comfortable.

And since you like this type of music, maybe you'd like Bunk Bed Junction. He sometimes asks you to listen to a song in progress to get your opinion.

He knows SO much about the technicalities of music, thanks to his degree. Sometimes out of the blue he drops some facts on you about a band or song.

And, if you're interested, he can teach you what he knows about relevant topics, such as subgenres, music history, what trends define a genre, or musical techniques.

He's learned the drum parts of several songs that he's fond of. So sometimes if you're hanging out with him while he's practicing, you might hear a beat you recognize. (And sometimes, that's because he's purposefully playing something you know to see if you react)

And of course he loves learning from you too, so he happily listens to anything you tell him. He thinks your excited demeanor is cute too.

As for the fashion aesthetic of metal, he's not into a lot of it for himself, although he does like wearing dark colors and a bit of silver bling. If you like the look for yourself though, he thinks it looks awesome on you. And if getting a matching shirt or accessory is something you're interested in, he'll happily wear it.

He follows several bands and music-related journals on social media. So if he sees something he thinks you'd be interested in, he sends it to you.

If you find music memes, send them to him. He'll get a chuckle out of it.

Zuke has a tendency to stim to music by bobbing his head and/or drumming his hands on a surface. Pumped up music especially gets motion out of him. He honestly doesn't realize how much he does this, but he's only slightly embarrassed if you point it out.
