I've noticed that, for most of the movie, Gary hides his teeth when smiling. He definitely looks really cute when he does that, right?

Then, towards the end of the movie, after the major conflict has been resolved and reptiles are now back in Zootopia., he's started smiling with his teeth showing.

Sure he looks a bit more creepy when he smiles like that, but he's still the same, sweet snake we know and love.

And it makes a lot of sense: Gary is not silent nor naive about the way most animals see snakes. His tendency to ask permission before hugging, and him always having an anti-venom pen in case he accidentally bites someone come to mind.

So, I believe his attitude is also shown in his smile: if he's meeting someone for the first time, he'll use his toothless smile to appear as approachable as possible, to further show he means no harm.

Then, after he's grown comfortable around the ones he considers friends, he'll start showing his true, toothy smile, as he feels there's no reason to hide his more "snake" features he possesses.

the castor is annoying too but I don't think that's a unpopular opinion,

saw a lot of people talking about this movie as if it was hinting at Judy and Nick being together but I disagree completely, it's much more of a "yeah, were planning on they having kids on the 3rd movie" there's like, no subtlety here

When we can compare these two instead!
