i think zombies4 would have been a drastically better movie if the daywalkers could only use their powers during the day and the vampires could only use their powers at night. that's why it's such a big deal that they're all staying together for a while because it means letting their guards down and trusting each other not to attack when they're vulnerable and don't have their powers. and idk maybe there could be an eclipse or something coming up and they were planning to have their war over the orchard during that because it would be the only time they can both use their powers at once, so addison&zed and the others have to prevent the war before the eclipse. does anyone see my vision

Thinking about the Z-O-M-B-I-E-S movies...I love them so much...they're so bad. Like its truly fascinating how bad they are, as far as the plot resolutions and connection between movies and realism and lyrics of the songs and dialogue etc. Is it weird that the racism allegories are sort of entirely missing why people are racist irl? Yes absolutely! And they generally handle the bigotry weirdly in the movies and it comes from weird places and it comes off not well. But.... the movies so cutie!! The contrasting color palettes of the different places/monsters? So pretty. They sing so much and they're all so happy and it's cringe but it's fun and nice. They are compelling to me despite being sort of the worst. It's nice to pretend for the duration of the movies that that's how anything works and like I said the color palettes are so fire.
It is weird to me that the majority of the tumblr posts I've witnessed about these movies are like weird smut/sexual posts about Zed (weird because he's in high school and also weird generally)???? I don't enjoy that but we ball I guess it's like that sometimes????? I feel like the real tumblr content would lie in imagining if they were actually technically good beyond their roles of being Disney teen movies.

Addison's wig/white hair is actually comes across to me as a fairly strong metaphor for neurodivergent masking and I'm so sad that the writers either never understood or never cared.
And also the fandom who turned it into an "I want to be a monster/ be oppressed so bad!" nonsense instead of examining the fact that yes, people who just *exist wrong* are also mistreated in day-to-day life in a manner that may be different from the general bias and mistreatment of more acceptable/outright prejudice but it can still affect us so deeply.
