Zizka. Katherine stared up at the dark ceiling of their shared room, lit only by the moonlight falling in shafts through the window. She could feel him breathing next to her, steady enough she wasn't sure if he was still awake. Even he had lost weight, his cheekbones becoming more pronounced, the dark circles under his blue eyes deepening. That hurt more than the hunger, she thought, shifting across the mattress slightly just to feel his arm press against hers.
