Zhael: *shrugs and tosses it into dryer anyways*

How easy is it for your character to feel sadness? What’s usually a good tip-off that they’re experiencing this emotion? (Physical reactions, movements of appendages, etc.)

Zhael feels sadness shallowly very easily, but it takes a long time for them to truly become saddened. They tend to go lifeless and isolate themself when they feel this way, mostly because they’re so used to being the leader, being in charge, being the one who people look to for help, that although they know they can break down in front of their friends, they hate doing so. It’s not that they can’t stand being weak, it’s that they don’t feel like they’re allowed to.

Physical tells include staring into the distance, zoning out more than they usually do, holding both legs to their chest (them holding one is perfectly normal, it’s just how they sit), and them seeking elevated places. Granted, some of these tells aren’t so obvious, as they’re normal behaviours for Zhael, but they tend to be more noticeable and done more frequently when Zhael is sad or otherwise upset.
