Me seeing a fanfic that has a less skilled writer: "aw, great! Someone is trying writing! This may not be my favorite style but I am glad that the author is trying and is enjoying writing this!"
Me seeing hurtful comments remarking on the style of the fic and grammar: "...you are all the reason people stop trying to hone a skill."
For real though.
If you want to see Good fanfiction? Dont be hateful to the beginner who is writing it! That beginner is honing a skill by practicing, I have seen great leaps in talent and skill by people just starting out because they were given positive feedback. Beginners need practice, let people hone skills and share them. I am not a very good artist, but I know that if I practice I will get better bit by bit, it is the same with writing, and the more positive and engaging feedback you get; the harder you try and the more you want to try to improve.
If you want more good fanfiction?
Let the Beginner grow into a master.
So this is just a minor detail. But it really caught my attention. I wanted to share it and see what everyone thought.
So a lot of the youtubers I’ve watched kind of. Overlook this. And I don’t blame them. But it really set my ping off and I have to get it out.
From an experienced artist’s standpoint, these drawings are not the same. If you look, the highlight, shade, and emphasis points are different in each one. Some are even missing a little bit of the edges to the otherwise solid outline.
For example, the happy one’s eyes are really light! And disgust almost looks like it has pupils in the black! Sad seems to be fading away on the right side. Angry has one solid white spot on the left.
What does this say to me? A few things. The biggest clue to my theory is the note that says “Do not let Joey see this”. So...
I think this says that the 3D Bendy was summoned before the staff was sacrificed/ran away/etc. So someone observed him enough to notice -differences-. Specifically, consistency shifts!!!! They’re sort of subtle, but when you look carefully there’s a ton of little changes in each sketch.
...But maybe I’m being a derp and overthinking and it’s just a thing that they put in to make you creeped out. And it really is creepy. Since it implies that he always has the exact same expression no matter what emotion.
