(Yoichi pov; I always felt like as the battle against his brother progressed, the more he became less sympathetic towards Zen)

And god, "ruin/hurt yourself first before anyone else can" is SUCH a Zen mindset, what a sad belief (but also leads to her being extremely strict with Yoichi during childhood)

Constantly telling her that if Yoichi didn't stay close to her that some man would steal her away and rape her immediately, and that she'll regret not listening to her big sister’s warnings. A pretty, small thing like Yoichi definitely attracts unwanted attention, and Zen is extremely aware of that and it disturbs her. Not in a "I need to protect my sister" way but a "I need to protect what's mine, by keeping other people's dirty hands away from defiling my property" way

The sisters both high key become misanderist and for the longest time believe they can only trust eachother in the world, enough to be inappropriately intimate
