thats also an interesting take on the au! though i am a firm believer gods never truly die in the way all living beings do. the whispers of their rule might arise after countless decades, as their existence is sprawled all over the used-to-be holy places
i just feel like its more emotionally skewered - that the void made a poor replica of the figure who also, in some way, hurt it immensely (since WL undoubtedly helped PK with the vessel plan). because WL is at fault, too, and yet the void used her motherly gentleness to shape itself a caregiver that could soothe the shadows. theres something fucked up about it v .v
