like sheegans family has been serving zeebs predecessors for generations relating to the byers being poor and the wheelers being fairly rich... im lowkey cooking rn and they were raised together too
and then zeeb is made to be emperor at a super young age so even though their dynamic as children wasnt on equal grounds because theyw ere both being raised with the mindset of them being on seperate levels , zeeb made an effort to put himself as an equal to sheegan and was very protective of him (judt classic miwi dynamic) but when zeeb had to be emperor they were forced into a very uncomfortable dynamic so their friendship got weird (sort of like s3 vibe..) and during them growing into these roles they grew very attached to each other and both fell in love but obviously were oblivious to the others feelings
