“This is a bad idea.” Zander murmurs under his breath, barely glancing at Min-jae as they step into the bar. Music envelopes them like a cloak, and the thrum and chatter of patrons makes it easy for their conversations to be private. “I feel like you could have thought of a better plan other than ‘kidnap someone who seems important’.” He drawls, an edge of exasperation below his low tone. “Sure we’re starting a fight, but you had nothing else?”
Min-jae shrugs a shoulder, looking unfazed by the other’s complaints as he steps in front and takes the lead, eyes looking around with a curiosity that covered how he was really scoping the place. Its exits, hallways, how many people he could detect...he wasn’t the brightest when it came to book stuff, but he’s good at this. “Listen, Takuma-san can’t exactly show up here himself so he told me to be creative and make a scene. I’d say my plan accomplishes that pretty well. Besides, Asami and Jasper are outside if anything goes wrong. We’re golden, okay? Loosen up, we’re here to see a show and enjoy ourselves right?” He teases with a loud laugh.
Zander is pretty sure he could kill him, but he blows out a breath instead. “Whatever. You’re sure you’ll know our target when you see them? You’ve told me nothing about the person to know.”
“Yeah, yeah. Apparently the ‘pearl’ of this place, so to speak, is strikingly beautiful, their main performer or something, at least that’s what the intel says. Should be obvious.” Min-jae leads the way to pick out a table and sit, Zander sitting across from him right in front of the stage. He didn’t like how much attention they’d draw being out in the open like this but....make a scene. If that was the orders, they’d definitely succeed.
