Ok looking into this Zampanio thing. creepypasta esque arg fake game. Several realizations of "wait this is Homestuck" and then "this is the Magnus Archives" and then "oh this is a shockingly personal creation of someone creating art, simultaneously obscuring and being oddly honest with their role in the story." I'm really really confused but I think I get what the feelings are... Justified recursion.

Zampanio is a game.
Well, not really. It's said to be a game, that came out long ago. A game that existed at the same time as pong, but keeps being forcibly forgotten on the internet. ROMs that get posted, people talking about what their Zampanio playthrough was like, it all gets deleted. But the truth is that it never existed.
What I've learned from looking at the Farrago Fiction website, and reading the explanations on the various ZampanioQuiz pages, is that Zampanio doesn't exist. And it never did. The point of Zampanio is not to find the real game, but to invent a fake game that in turn becomes the real game. When that fake game is created, you then present it as the real game, and everyone accepts it. Because Zampanio is both everything that everyone says it is, and exactly what you think. It's hard to explain, and this may be completely unintelligible. To understand what makes Zampanio exist, you need to accept that Zampanio, as it is known, does not exist, and never did. The essence of Zampanio is pretending to play a game and convincing everyone around you and yourself that it's real.
