Chucking the newborn baby into the arms of a 15 year old boy to make grabby hands at some ancient tomes is actually so funny morgana I love you😭 and then towards the end of the chapter forgetting ur whole baby in a wizard's tower unattended bc u were too busy pondering magical rituals...also "he looks like a grub.😐" ywain caught so many strays this chapter and he's not even a year old. Hilarious but also deeply saddening I can't wait to compensate in future chapters for the neglect. Grub baby and his unhinged emotionally unavailable sorceress mother<3 (I'm sneaking parenting books into morgana's stacks of magic tomes)

On the plus side, this is that beautiful time of Ywain's life where the strays he's catching won't be remembered. When he's five, you can essentially pawn him off on your family or your singular *checks notes* teenaged friend.

Uncle Arthur will always be there for him, though. Unless he gets sick or throws up or something. And giving him to Arthur at that point is only half as incriminating when you consider that 15 sort of seems to be the threshold for adulthood in a lot of medieval stories. So that makes it okay, right? Right??

Honestly, forgetting your baby one time is probably not neglect. Morgan is, after all, a young first time mother. Now, if it were to become a pattern, though...

But dw, you can lock in and mother the crap out of that kid! Occasional hiccups not withstanding because writing Morgan as a well-meaning but slightly bad mom is fun for me.
