My newest doll is a YummySweets Dolls Lil' Lotus that I got at the NYC Doll Con! I had a vision for her at first, but struggled with it, so now she's a more mature/adult version of Prilla from Disney Fairies!
I still need to make her hat, but considering this was all from stuff I had on hand, I'd say she turned out pretty well!
Also, this is my post saying that I miss the Disney Fairies series and constantly wish they had continued the movies.

I found @rosiewalks post of outfits that fit Lil Lotus really helpful and thought I'd take photos of my own test! She's a really unique doll so finding things that fit her in my fashion doll collection can be a little challenging lol, but it's extremely worth it, she's gorgeous.
In my testing, Barbie and Phicen clothes work best for her from my options, but I'll also go into what I've tried that didn't work
We'll start with Barbie while I'm here
Left is the plaid outfit from the Barbie Movie (skirt, top, and jacket. The underwear and petticoat were too small, the petticoat is almost too small for Margot actually). It basically has no stretch since it's just meant for Margot Robbie to wear in a box. The top and jacket are great (although maybe the sleeve is a little long). Now don't be fooled, that skirt does not fit lol. I already seam ripped half of the back to make it fit on more dolls, but it fits great at the waist, so if you have a Barbie skirt that opens all the way (or even just half of the way) down in the back it will fit just fine.
The middle is a Barbie dress that came in a two-pack with the dress on the left that Catty is wearing. I think it's designed for curvy Barbie, they're both very stretchy. I was not going to go through taking Catty's dress on and off because it's hard and I love it on her, but the dress I did try fit her really well
Right is a handmade curvy Barbie dress I got from a maker on eBay. It's also stretchy and fits great!
That's all the Barbie clothes I have right now, but overall I think Barbie (especially curvy Barbie) are your best bet from standard fashion dolls for finding fitting clothes. She's so cute in Margot's set I've kept her in it for now.
For something that doesn't fit, I only have two Rainbow High outfits but they did not work at all. Rose proved they can work, though, so what I can say is that bodycon, structured, or stretchless Rainbow High clothes don't work, because the only thing from Berri Skies that she could wear was the shoes. The skirt and shorts I have were too small around her hips, and the tops were too small, although I think if it was strapless it might be more workable because if you try to put her arms through it, the top will sit over the top of her chest like a bolero and you can't even pretend it's covering anything lol
However! She fits both my pairs of Rainbow High shoes really well. I did cut the strap at the back of all my RH shoes and I don't think they would fit without that, but they work great on the heeled feet this way, definitely no risk of them slipping off, so I think RH shoes are a great option for her if you're open to modifying the strap! It's likely to be your cheapest shoe option and have a lot of variety
G3 Monster High makes up the majority of my dolls, so I had a lot more options to test there. Unfortunately, most of it is way too small for her.
On the left is the Hissfits tank top that I believe came with the three pack? I always thought it was weirdly big, so I thought it might fit her, and it does! It's an oversized look and for me she looks way too cute to not show off, but it all depends what aesthetic you want!
On the right is Abbey's tights, I think from the dance Skulltimate Secrets line? They're tight but do fit, unlike any of the other MH tights and stockings I tried on her. Which, speaking of...
Abbey's leg warmers fit her well, though the bodysuit is too small to do up properly... it looks really good from the front though I'll be honest so I did have her in it for a while
This is Abbey's cardigan from Fearbook (I think). I didn't bother to tie it in the front since I was about to take it off, but it's really cute as a cropped cardigan for her.
Basically, she can get into some of Abbey's stretchy clothes, but they won't really "fit". She couldn't fit into any of her core doll's clothes, for instance, but I only have those three dolls for her to test.
Catty Noir next!
Catty's clothes in contrast are too big around her middle and top, but you can angle the velcro on her skirts to make them fit. I could have made the top lie better for these photos but I wanted to leave how that overlap worked visible to give an idea. The top is part of the dress from her core doll if I remember right. I have absolutely no clue what the skirt is from lol but I know it's Catty's.
Her socks here are LOL OMG and what looks like ankle socks on her are supposed to be knee highs. I only have one LOL OMG outfit (bodysuit and a skirt) but I'm putting a 0% chance on any of them fitting her.
Wait I think I'm remembering now that Catty had a Hauntlywood doll or something? And that's where these pieces are from? Anyway this skirt fits well if you do the cross trick where you do the velcro normal on the bottom half and then take the very top of the waistband and velcro it halfway down to strip so the waist is smaller (it's much easier with this thinner fabric, it's really cute on her but not super posable) and I tried to go with a slouchy bubble top look but the top is actually a dress I folded over. Again, if I was intending to keep her in it I think I could have made it cuter but there was more to try. As a dress, it was too loose around her middle and too short.
SInce Abbey and Catty are the two largest MH dolls right now, nothing else fits. I did try several things I thought had a chance, but no. And G1 of course is too small for her, the big sisters still aren't anywhere close to these girls.
I knew Bratz clothes wouldn't work but I have one that's entirely adjust with a lace back and shoulder straps, and even that didn't stretch to cover her chest like a bikini. I thought there was a chance with that one but no lol.
I don't have a lot of Phicen clothes so this is just a quick try-on
To get the hoodie dress on I had to take her faceplate off, but it was very easy to pull on after that, it's super stretchy and I think it would be super cute with some tights. The underwear would be a little too small if it wasn't adjustable, and the neck strap on the top is slightly long on the other hand. Again, I would have tied the straps cuter with little bows if I was going to keep it on lol.
I'm using a 4/5 wig I got off of Etsy for her and it's sliiiiightly small, so I would lean towards 5/6 wigs for her going forward and then use a silicone wig cap if it's a little too big. Which, speaking of... On a whim I tried Catra's (MH G3 Toralei Stripe) season four wig on her
This is a hard cape wig and it's too large, but it actually does sit well once she's posed, so I think a silicone wig cap would make wigs intended for G3 Monster High dolls work on her! I'm going to try to make a wig for her out of hair salvaged from a Bratz (I've always wanted to try it), so we'll see how the silicone wig caps work out, but I won't have time for that for a while... hence why I haven't posted in a while eitheer lol
Anyway, from the moment I got Maih Chih I knew I was screwed and was going to start collecting BJDs because I loved her so much, and Lotus is one of the most gorgeous dolls I've ever seen, I'm so thrilled I was able to get her... Like I'm considering getting another when a full pre-order happens but hopefully I will be able to exercise self-control. I just love her so much. I really hope Yummysweets keeps making these Lils because I really can't collect anything bigger than 1/6 scale (like mayyyybe I could stretch to 1/5? But I have very limited space) and I love all her sculpts so much. I will be keeping a close eye out for them if she does do more in the future, I compare every BJD I consider to how much I love hers honestly
