Ingredients: 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter. 1 package 10 ounces marshmallows. 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal. 1 cup toffee bits. 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Instructions: In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue to cook, swirling the pot occasionally, until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add the marshmallows. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove the pot from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal, toffee bits, and salt. Mix until the cereal is well coated with the marshmallow mixture. Press the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish using a greased spatula or your hands. Press down firmly to compact the mixture. Allow the treats to cool and set for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy these gooey toffee brown butter Rice Krispie treats!
