Exerpt:

“If we all stood on opposite ends of the loft, I could try to extend the spell and cloak my scent, but I won’t be able to tell if it’s working. I take it you guys have a pretty big range when it comes to scent?” 

“It’s not as good as our hearing,” Derek told him, moving to stand by the window as Stiles walked towards the door. “But I can scent the building pretty well, so the loft will be no problem.” 

Stiles looked up at Peter. “Can you go back to where you were hiding? I think this might work better if I don’t have to look at you.” 

Derek couldn’t help the small huff of a laugh that he let out at that and Peter’s affronted expression. Peter did what he was told, though, slinking back up the stairs. 

Stiles shook out his arms and legs, bouncing his shoulders up and down a few times as if he was limbering up to go for a run. 

“You can both smell me, yea?” Stiles asked.

“You look like a little goat.” Derek smirked.

Stiles frowned offended and puffed his cheeks, “At least I’m not a rabbit like you.” The Prince had not expected to get an honest laugh out of the Viking with his retort, but Derek's whole face changed and all Stiles could do was gape at him in awe.
