A blend of African, Andalusian, Amazigh, and Jewish influences, the music stemming from the new generation of female Moroccan singers are reflective of the depth and the diversity of their culture. Historically, women have always played an important role in Moroccan music. From the early 20th century, during the French occupation, through to contemporary Morocco, across all regions, women expressed themselves in music.

(You know last time I wrote these two It was bitter sweet. I think I did better this time considering. Yousra belongs to @superyoumna and Faris belongs to @hammie-heart )

Yousra woke up with a jolt. She couldn't remember exactly what she was dreaming about but it just didn't sit right with her. Like something bad was gonna creep up into the surface. Though that possibility was always on her mind so it could be just that.

It's been ages since I've had anything to do with the demons. Why do I get the feeling something is gonna happen again?

“Yousra, what's wrong?”

Faris turned over next to her. He woke up soon after her when she begins to stir. At this point, he was starting to get a bit worried at how distressed she was.

She sighed, almost happy to just see him there. It hadn't been long since they had gotten married and his presence just became a constant comfort.

“It's nothing Faris. Just an unpleasant dream. I don't even remember it."

Even then I know you. You would fight whatever plagued me with all your might.

All he did was come up behind her and wrap her in his embrace. It was a simple gesture but it was warm. Like nothing could ever come between them.

“I'm sorry, this is all I can do.”

She smiled as she relished being wrapped in his warmth. “You silly man. You are there, always in my mind. That way even in my dreams I know I can face anything.”

She could almost feel the warmth of his smile against her skin. "I can't help but worry sometimes but we have come this far together."

He's right, we have come such a long way. I know in my heart this to be true. We are an unstoppable team.

Though the thought always did cross her mind of the worst-case scenario. This has always been true for her. Despite all the hardship and the pain, they found each other.

As soon as things calmed down she quickly returned to sleep.

Hi, I’ve been dead for forever and have loads of new art to post eventually, but for now!

I’ve been reading Valiant souls since the creation of Yousra when the whole comic started and I’ve yet to draw ANYTHING for it! Until today, of course :D (well I did draw a demon thing but whatever)

Yaser was finishing to clean his house. He was tired and exhausted. Soon he would need to go with Yousra to do that dirty killing thing for the demons he was doing since he met her and...destroyed his village. He couldn’t support that much these days. He and Yousra finally encountered amazing people that gave them hope for the future. He just wished he wasn’t linked to that awful creature who was Dewana. He couldn’t fight against her and he had to listen to Yousra. Despite everything, she was her sibling, he was forgiving her thanks to the fact they were killing less than before since the day she was dating Faris. He was lost in his thoughts when someone knocked to his door. Curious, he opened it and was surprised to see Yousra. He wasn’t expecting her now.

- Hello Yousra, come in. I didn’t know you were visiting me now. (Yaser)

She was having a strange smile, it reminded him of something but he couldn’t get his mind on it. She entered.

- Hi Yaser, I’m glad to see you are healthy and fine. (Yousra)

She was weirdly friendly and sweet today. Yaser was kinda suspicious about it. 

- Mmmhhh thanks Yousra. Do you want something? (Yaser)

She took a moment to think as she stayed quiet first.

- Well...I have something to ask you. I think we should stop killing for the demons and Dewana. (Yousra)

- WHAT?! Are you serious?! (Yaser)

He couldn’t say anything else. He was so surprised. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. 

- Yeah...I mean they already have enough souls at this point. I’m sure they don’t need our help anymore. So that’s said, we stop doing it.

Inside, he knew she was lying. The demons would always need more and more souls no matter what. But a part of me was feeling weird. Emotions and feelings he didn’t feel in a long time. Faris and the others finally changed her. He fell on his knees filled with lots of emotions. He puts his hands on his face. He was remembering that scene where he was looking at his house. He was thinking of his lost family, his lost brothers. He started to cry and couldn’t stop. Yousra was expecting it. 

- Finally....finally *sobs* it’s over....it’s over...(Yaser)

Yousra decided to also go on her knees as she hugged Yaser quietly without saying anything. She knew what she was thinking aboutHe cuddled her and cried as much as he could.

- Thank you...thank you...(Yaser)

- It’s okay...Ameer. It’s okay, you can breathe. It’s over. (Yousra)

Yaser hugged her for several minutes before releasing her. They were both looking at each other and they smiled. They could move on from their pasts and they could work for a better future. That’s what they were hoping but someone wasn’t okay with it and she would take advantage of it one day.

I discovered valiant souls with the origins comic from @superyoumna I fell in love with the characters introduced, especially Ameer/Yaser. He is such an amazing character and I relate on him very often. Valiant souls and the characters in it really inspire me a lot (as you know I created Claire Adam who is in valiant souls now ^^). Youmna is now posting the origins comic on instagram and when I read it again, I felt i needed to write about the duo like when I discovered them a few months ago. So here it is, fan writing about them ^w^. I hope you will like it ^^.
