Being mindful of your actions
Being mindful isn’t just about being alerted to something and then being mindful of your actions. It’s about paying attention to your environment and your lives presently.
It’s also not something we will all have in our lifetime, that part is always up to us. But being mindful is something you must hone, and something that can have a positive impact on both your personal and professional life.
So how do you become more mindful?
Start off with improving yourself and your relationships. Listen carefully to what others have to say so you’re concentrating on their every word. Look at your lifestyles again, try meditation and incorporate that into your daily routine.
Practice being mindful. Focus on your breathing, use visualisation, think about and be aware of your feelings. Analyse your thoughts. Think about how you feel, why you feel how you feel. Think about your experiences. It is not just your experience in that moment that makes you feel unhappy, sad, or angry.
Being mindful is something we must work on for us to work successfully together, for us make the world a more secure place. It’s something we can teach ourselves. Train your mind to see the good in people, in society and in the world. Change your internal dialogue so you use empathy, compassion and tolerance, instead of irritability, anger and abuse.
Don’t assume something without really knowing or understanding. Change your lifestyle habits so you become more mindful and acknowledge your progress as you go.
The more mindful you are, the more benefits you bring not only to your life, but to those around you also.Â
