Since being brought to this packed tight town, Francis’ mood went from indifferent to sour. The people here in this town seemed far too happy and cheerful. Almost as if they WEREN’T being trapped inside these walls. The biker knew how these places went. The guy in charge would say it’s meant to keep the bad things out...when in reality it was quite the opposite.
Francis supposed he’d feel better about being here if he had his gun. Sure, his knife was still on his person, seeing as he smuggled the damn thing in, but Francis knew better than to bring a knife to a gun fight.
Some cheery women walked passed him, growing silent and skittish under his murderous stare. Brought in to be kept safe? Fuck that. Francis would rather be out there killing the damn vampires rather than staying in here and acting like nothing was wrong!! His frown only worsened by the second. To get his weapons back, the guys at the wall told him, he’d have to talk to this Governor guy. One of the guards said they’d go and grab him, but he was taking too. Damn. Long.
Where the hell were they?!
