Our orchid keeps on growing! This plant has grown a new leaf, a new bud and has started a new stem over the last few months. In the 2nd photo you can see a close-up look at the new bud that should flower in a few weeks. In the 3rd photo you can see the new stem that is growing from the bottom of the plant. I am way too excited about this!!! Our veggie garden is looking really good. It has been very therapeutic to go to the garden throughout the week, working with my hands and enjoying the little creatures (insects, rabbits, lizards, birds, etc.). We use @dr_earth_organics to keep our plants fertilized and protected from hungry critters. I was so excited to pull this carrot out of the ground and share it, that I BROKE part of it off! The first photo is the carrot safely in the ground. The second photo is what I pulled out of the ground. The third is a video of me pulling it out (any tips on not breaking the carrot are welcome). The final photo has the last little ends of the carrot that I dug up with my trowel. Perhaps I'll use a trowel next time!
