For context, Dick has wanted Bruce to adopt him for a long time, Bruce finally got around to applying to adopt him after an emotional exchange in Gotham Knights 17. But a man claiming to be Dick's grandpa shows up and contests the application.

Reasons I love Gotham Knights 20:

1) The depiction of Bruce and Dick's insecurities leading to arguments and miscommunications.

2) Dick's absolute panic at the idea of anyone trying to take him away from Bruce. The fear of being abandoned by Bruce seems to always be deep-seated in him, especially now that he's so close to getting the adoption he's always wanted.

3) Babs, the emotional support techwizard of the batfamily, faceplanting the keyboard.

4) Bruce calling Dick "Hunk Wonder".

Yoska: I know the wife for you son.

Emelian: Dad.

Yoska: Tobar's daughter, Everelda.

Emelian: Ugh.

Yoska: Now that girl can swing an axe.

Emelian: I don't want a girl who can swing an axe.

Yoska: She has the shoulders of a bull.

Emelian: Ugh

Yoska: She'd Bear you gargantuan sons.

Emelian: No. no. Stop it. No.

Yoska: What?

Bruce and Barbra try to dig up more information on Yoska, eventually coming to the conclusion that while Yoska thinks he is dick’s grandfather, someone lied to him to make him believe it.

Meanwhile, Dick and Yoska talk in his Bludhaven apartment. When Yoska proves to know more about dick than he should, Dick asks who told him this information as a shot is fired through the window. As they duck for cover, Yoska says it was a man named Al Ghul who was concerned for dick. Dick hands Yoska a photo album of his parents and asks if that’s his long lost son.

Outside, Bruce takes down the sniper who fired the shot through Dicks’s window at Yoska and finds out he was sent by Al Ghul and ordered to miss the shot.
