I don't think I quite settled on how long Yoshimitsu II may have been in the Fu-Ma clan. Whatever happened, I have to think there was an agreement between Chie and Yoshimitsu I since the last Fu-Ma leader was a massive bastard.
One possibility: Yoshimitsu I sensed that Mekki-Maru is kind of a mini Soul Edge now and doesn't want it back. So instead, oh... how can I put this? Was Yoshimitsu II a Manji clan kid that he trusted them with in exchange? I think I'll go with that.
