“It's you!”

chatter erupts from the ring of village people as Yoimiya boldly stands in the middle of the square, a fierce grin on her face as she stares down Itto. the poor guy is sweating buckets and averting his gaze

“Is that an accusation I’m hearing?” you call out from your perch atop of the guillotine

“Yes! I would like to nominate Itto please!” with a flick of your manikins' wrist, a banner appears above Ittos’ head, wedging itself into his seats back

“Mimi, nooo I thought we had a truce!” Itto cries out “we're neighbourinos, compadres!”

she huffs “Itto, a few of us around town have already discussed it, you're most definitely the demon.”

“W- w- w- whaaa? psh” his face screws up, a strained smile stretching across his face “n-no?”

“Alright, would you like to make your case then?” you muse seeing Itto flounder at her brazen accusation

Yoimiya unhooks the strap on her thigh and slips out her small notebook, licking her thumb before flipping through the first few pages “uhhmn- alright, here it is”

she takes a moment to turn towards the town of ‘ghosts’ and two other ‘alive’ townsfolk

“Here ye, here ye! I, Yoimiya, would like to reveal myself to the lovely town as your empath!” she turns suddenly and points straight at Itto “and he! has been lying to me the entire game. tricking me into thinking my other neighbour, Ms. Kuki, was my evil neighbour”

Heizou frowns “wait. you said you were the ravenskeeper.”

“I was… okay.” she holds her hands up “I was lying about that.”

Sara stares at her doubtfully “why lie about a ravenskeeper claim though, they want to die, Empaths don't.”

"kinda' weird you were so open with it too." Heizou finishes her thoughts.

“well- I was trying to bait my neighbour into killing me night one.” she turns to Kuki with a sheepish look “I’m so sorry I didn't believe you, Itto just came to me first”

the woman in question waves it off “I managed to get off one lycanthrope kill, so I'm happy”

Heizou laughs “wow, how kind of you to be so openly happy about that.”

“You immediately outed yourself.” Kuki says flatly “for a detective, that was a pretty lousy move.”

Heizou just grins and shrugs “...if that's what you think.”

“Is that all on the accusation?” you pipe in, leaning forwards to look over everyone “doesnt sound like one-”

“Sorry!” Yoimiya waves her hands around “Since day one i've been getting a ping, So it goes one, one, two, one.”

Heizou counts along, reading through his own notes “so first night neighbours were?”

“Itto - Kuki night one and two, then Itto - Heizou, then Itto - Sara- and Sara is a confirmed townsfolk farmer. so either Itto really is my red herring, or I got put next to the demon on purpose.”

Gorou makes a strained sound at her information “how did you go this long thinking Itto wasn't bad?”

By now Yoimiya is being hounded by the majority of the group on her choices regarding keeping her role and info so closely kept.

“The first few nights, I really thought he was my red herring! why would the gamemaker put the demon next to the empath of all people?” she throws her hands towards you this time

Kokomi purses her lips “well, is there anyone else that can back up your info? you're looking pretty suspicious yourself, Yoimiya. you could just be lying.”

she bobs her head rapidly “Kazuha and Sayu have corroborating info”

Kokomi, Gorou, Sara and Kuki all face the last two alive townsfolk, Sayu is looking between them all with an exhausted look while Kazuha is idly playing with a leaf

Heizou glances at his notes “so we have the?...”

“Artist.” she points to Kazuha first “and the politician.” then Sayu

his eyes flicker to Sayu “hmn.”

“That still doesn't prove anything” Sara shakes her head “Today could be the last day if the nomination goes through and Ittos not the demon.”

“yeah!” Itto adds in “I'm not the demon!” he jumps up and makes his way to where Yoimiya stands, making the saddest face possible, and staring up at you “it's my turn to defend myself, yeah?”

you nod “go ahead.”

“swwweet.” he whistles “okey- so here's the deal, right? my homie Mimi here is just confused.”

Yomiya's face goes blank “ui- Itto.”

“-because I… am the goblin.”

a round of groans sound from everyone.

“You did this last round.” Itto wrings his hands together nervously at Kuki's accusation

“But I'm telling the truth!” he whines, almost sounding offended at the fact none of them believe him “I am the goblin! if you vote me out, you'll lose. I win, done deal.”

“vote him out, guys. we've lost Itto, they're not believing us.” Heizou chimes in, getting up from his chair he claps Itto on the back and gives him a grin “good game.”

Almost unanimously, the last of the alive players bar Itto votes ‘yes’ and sends him straight to the execution stand. Gorou and Kokomi both think it over then put their hand up to vote, using their one and only ghost vote to condemn Itto

you raise a brow at the choice “Final call for votes. You need 2 votes out of 4 to put him on the stand, three for majority.”

"we've casted our votes lets just get this over with," Heizou prompts, trying to speed along the vote counter

“awh c'mon. Mimi didn't even give a good reason why you all should've voted.” Itto pouts, stepping up to you and crossing his arms as you tie an execution ribbon into his hair

Sara frowns, turning to Heizou. "Wait- why are you trying to speed it along? That's your demon on the stand. you're going to lose."

he stays quiet, only giving her a brief glance while he leans back.

'ping'

The tally totals and appears before you, "Itto has successfully been nominated. and with the votes being three to four plus two ghost votes- there's hardly a chance someone else can beat it. but did anyone else want to?"

Yoimiya makes a cross with her arms "nuh uh! let us claim our winnings!"

"then..." you make a momentary pause "I announce the game has ended."

Yoimiya throws up her hands. "- and the evil team has won!" her face goes white, and her body goes rigid. "h-huh?"

"pft." In a second, Itto bursts out laughing and pumps his fists in the air "Ah hah! I Did It! Rahh!" He cheers loudly, enough for you to lean back and have to adjust your headset so he doesn't blow out your audio, "Did ya' see that! I finally won!"

Yoimiyas whole figure deflates, even the sparkles emenating from her form estinguishes leaving a dull soot "but? how?"

"Im not the demon!" He shouted out in glee, practically snatching the winning ribbon to add into his hair right next to the last. "I really was the goblin! ehehah! I got a goblin win! Goblin these nuts, Mimi!"

"But Heizou was the minion!" she counters, swirling around to the man in question."You were the minion- t-the scarlet witch! Kazuha confirmed it with his artists info!"

you move your character forwards "and I would like to announce that the politician has also won."

he grins and accepts the ribbon you present him

Yoimiya sighs, accepting her defeat, turning to Kazuha and Sayu. "You were lying to me? I doubled trucies for you guys."

Kazuha shrugs. "I didn't lie- The player told me to beware 'Heizou and the spells he might cast.'"

Kokomi tilts her head "thats the wording they used?"

Kazuha nods

"...and when exactly did you ask it?" she prods more

"the first night."

Kokomi purses her lips. "But if Heizous the politician and not Sayu, technically, he's on towns side by default, you shouldn't've gotten a warning on him."

"So foulplay?" Yoimiya perks up

"I mean." You start slyly. "Anything goes with a drunk."

she gasps "the other outsider- we forgot to role check the outsider number!"

"You're still a new player. these things are hard to grasp" You console her "and the map I made in Miliastra isn't the best for first time players."

she puffs out her cheeks and pouts "...but if Ittos not the demon, Kazuhas the drunk. that means the demon is-"

you grin as you finally pull out the last ribbon and approach Sayu, who, during the end of it, had fallen asleep. Quietly, you tie it around the plush tail and pet the tanuki doll beside her. "and the winner is Sayu!"
