They always like to point out sex is such a small percentage of of what Tantra is all about. It’s about asana, pranayama, mediation, mantras, and yantras. Am I working with my higher chakras or am I just feeding the lower ones lol?! Today I had a short discussion about can bdsm really be made into a sacred practice. . . Dear friends, please don’t be fooled. Tantra is not about any one specific thing or any of those specific practices I just listed, but the common thread in all of those things and all spiritual practices ironically is aroused life force to transform the heart and mind and feed the guru within. Guess what that aroused life force is, SEXUAL ENERGY. . . Pranayama, asana, mantra, etc all exist and can be experienced in their fullest potential because of this life force. All of these practices are tools to transcend maya, the duality we want to hold on to. . . Whether you achieve that or not has more to do with how pure your heart is, your karma, your perspective and intentions. The siddhis you acquire are from the fruits of your spirit and your alignment with divinity not your knowledge of these tools. . . I have practiced and used all of these tools, but it is the opening of my heart, facing my fears, letting go of inhibitions, and allowing my ancestors to guide me that have made these tools actually activate my divinity and experience other realms and help my understanding of the supernatural. . . Any practice aligned with the higher self can be sacred. It has a lot less to do with the actual practice and a lot more to do with the spirit that is practicing.
