Hey everyone! Happy Sabbath!

This is pretty sudden, but we’re gonna do an AMA on reddit today at 3 pm eastern! That’s about an hour and a half from now. This was prompted by the recent buzz around Ben Carson and his Seventh-day Adventist status, so we’re aiming for questions from people who don’t know much about us or the Adventist world.

Pray for us, and watch out for us!

Hey everybody,

When this tumblr first started out in 2011, it wasn't expected to get this big. Yet here we are, 4 years, one extra admin, 880+ posts, and about 1600 followers later. We want to thank you for making the YeahAdventists tumblr what it has become, not only a place for people to relate to each other, but another community. A lot has changed over those four years, not only in the blog's focus and usual content, but in the lives of the admins. Looking back, it's surprising just how much things have changed. We were at a different place in our lives, but the events of our lives have led to us having less time, less energy, and less of a general ability to keep up with things - it's been a struggle.

That's why, after much thought, prayer, and consideration, we have decided to step down from running this tumblr. We still love you all, but we need to move forward from where our lives have led us. But! This doesn't mean the end of YKYSDA. Starting now, we will be looking for people to take over the responsibilities of running this tumblr. We'll be looking for at least two people who are able to continue making the fun graphics we started off with, who are willing to put in the research, effort, and prayer into each of the requests for advice and answers we get, and who are able to work responsibly with each other and with the Adventist tumblr community. Of course, we won't just be dropping this in your lap and running. We'll be here through the transition of ownership and then place an official farewell. And, we'll probably pop in now and again for a hello.

So, if you feel like this would be an interest you could commit to, if you feel like this could be your calling to serve, if you love being able to produce the community-bonding material we've designed or love searching deep for answers and explanations, send us an ask with some information on how to contact you. For everyone else, we'll miss you. Please pray for us as we try to find someone that will continue this blog, and please be patient with them as they learn the ropes.

So, this week we've decided to only post asks, as Howie said in an earlier post. Yet, that was supposed to start yesterday. But since things have been so hectic between injuries and blizzard prep (East Coast struggles, pray for us!), we’ll be starting those posts today.

Also, since this is an attempt to clear out our inbox, please reconsider before sending us an ask at this time. Also, check out the tags (on the homepage sidebar!) because we've answered a lot of questions and you may find an answer there as well.

Hey everyone. First off, I want to say that I'm sorry we've not been doing much lately. Life has a way of draining your will and energy from time to time, and we've both had a bit of a tough time of things.

But what I want to say is that, while we've got a rather large (and daunting) number of questions in our inbox, we've both set an immediate goal, and are setting up a bit of an announcement we plan to put up on Sunday. That goal is to start working at the backlog that is our inbox, starting with the most recent questions first.

Currently, Yvonne and I are planning on setting ourselves up to answer one answer each per day, starting Monday, and then dedicating the majority of the following weekend to answering as many as we can. Whether we queue those to release over the following week, or post them all at once, we're not quite sure yet.

That being said, life still makes things difficult. We'd appreciate prayers towards our pushing through the week. We'll do our best, though. Thanks for listening in :).
