Scrapped Yi drawing
We are big fans of Tim Probert's Lightfall series. Paleoart meets kid literature art: with Yi qi dressed as Seren Bore and Sinopterus as Kest Ke Belenus.

Wishing you a season of joy and wonder.
Hi I'm here to ask about dinosaurs. I've never ever heard of a microrapter before I thought it was a dinosaur you'd made up for your url 😔
Please infodump (i love infodumps)
ok prepare yourself this is literally only about microraptor
they lived in the late cretaceous in modern day china and they were a dromeosaurid which means they were related to like deinonychus and velociraptor and other guys like that and they were smaller than a chicken and could glide in the air using four wings (two on arms two on back legs)
whats interesting about microraptor is that its one of the few dinosaurs we know the color of because one time a microraptor fossil was being excavated and it had a little pigment sac in it that had been preserved for millions of years and now we know they were like a dark iridescent blue!
as far as i’m aware they could also be classified as paraves which means they are very closely related to birds (closer than other dinosaurs)
they’re very similar to dinosaurs like archeopteryx but a little less well known :)
another similar dinosaur is yi qi, they look like super silly dragons :33
A cartoonified take on Yi qi, a dinosaur species I found so fascinating I felt a strong need to used said fascination as artistic inspiration.
