1895 Paris, the Palais Garnier Opera House ... anything coming to mind? Sarah Brightman has even been in the news with a new album. I’ve been reading through @robindlaws and @pelgranepress new The Yellow King RPG, which I’m excited to play. QuickShock Gumshoe looks great after my experience with One-2-One, and I love the new/originalist take on the Chambers stories. But the Belle Epoque Paris setting for the first era of the story is quite daunting for me as my knowledge of this particular history is minimal. Imagine my pleasure when I saw that the intro adventure is riffing (in an oblique and Lawsian manner) on a story with which I am, ah, somewhat familiar (although it makes me feel old-ish).
