🧧 Happy Chinese New Year !

This year is the metal Ox year so we thought we could make a collab drawing like last year (related to our love for the manga Fruits Basket 🤍)


February 12, 2021 - January 31, 2022 Oxes are diligent and responsible workers. While they can be inflexible with decisions and not very social, their strong sense of discipline is admirable. Oxes get along with Rats, Snakes, and Roosters, but not Dragons, Horses, Sheep, and Dogs. It's the Metal element for the Ox. Courage, confidence, and artistic skills are the themes for this year I waited 12 years to redraw this one... JEEZ! I've been so frazzled lately, I didn't even post my Calabash comic strip in this past Sunday's Honolulu @staradvertiser newspaper • Fri. Feb. 12 is the Chinese New Year and will be the Year of the Ox. I already did a gag previously, so I went a different route with words using "ox" in them - not necessarily rhymes, although I guess that would've made more sense for consistency 😊 I can always change it later...
