“but you wanna know something buck? if you need to be pissed off at me to make it easier for you then be pissed off” IS SUCH AN INSANE LINE AND WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT IT ENOUGH. because yeah, eddie is annoyed that buck hasn’t been supportive and sabotaged his house viewings and replaced him with a dog. but he’s not saying that he doesn’t understand why buck’s been doing all that. he’s acknowledging that this - eddie leaving - is a heartbreakingly difficult thing they’re both going through and that he knows buck is finding it hard. he’s angry about it, he wishes buck hadn’t taken it so hard, he wishes it hadn’t all happened this way, but if buck can only cope with it by being angry then eddie would let him. he’ll let him, but he won’t pretend it doesn’t upset him. and it adds a whole other layer to eddie saying “it’s not nothing” later on. eddie’s angry about it too - he just knows he can’t afford to feel every emotion that’s really connected to the situation because the grief of losing chris and the determination to get him back is already overwhelming. if he focuses on how much it’s hurting to leave buck too, it’ll be too much
