General hcs!!

Their first impressions with the other crewmates were kind of bad. They refused to speak to any of them, immediately cooping up in the security room, but they did enjoy the company of Yellow and Brown based off of the anti-MIRA talk they'd have. Their first positive interaction with any of the Skeld crew was probably vaguely complimenting their food

They/them exclusively! (Obviously!! It's canon!! this has kinda become a tradition for my headcanon posts lol)

Purple's favorite food is chicken nuggets but they would never admit that

They have anxiety around leaving doors or windows open, they can't focus on anything unless they're absolutely sure that they're safely boxed in. Additionally, they like small, enclosed spaces for the same reason and make a lot of pillow forts or nests in their bed.

Purple loves all kinds of puzzles: jigsaw puzzles, sudokus, wordles, solitaire... they try and do at least one of the bunch daily, but they don't always remember. Also if you put them in an escape room they would be very happy and enriched and probably complete it with time to spare 9/10 of the times

They have sleep apnea causing fatigue and snoring in the night, it went undiagnosed for years until a random youtube video from someone else who had it made them have an "ooohhhh." moment

Now for camcap/post-canon hcs!

They had a habit of buying too many mugs as a young adult. They'd get a cup for basically anything if it had something they found cute or fun on it. They've mostly grown out of it now and gotten rid of a lot of their unnecessary extra cups but Red still fuels the urge (like an idiot) by buying them one on occasion.

Before getting to Industria they made Red promise on their life that they wouldn't sign any NDAs or papers or whatever when they got there without ensuring Purple was there and agreed with them first. It wasn't fully necessary because Red had already learned their lesson by then, but it soothed their anxieties about it

At home, Purple does most of the taxes and economic work for Red because they work much better under that kind of pressure than Red... but in return they have to wash all the dishes and clean around the house because they absolutely despise doing both

They unconsciously adopted Red's horrible zoom call fit (crocs with pajama pants, or the thong from ep5 😭😭😭😭) and now they wear their regular work suit overtop comfy clothes or only wear professional outfits from the torso-up

On that note, they refuse to do in-person work anymore that isn't in a place 30 minutes max away from their house. All of the malpractice of the Skeld, the death of Heracles, and general PTSD-like symptoms from the event make it so that heading out of town is purely for vacations. Red is the same way, but its moreso that they have separations anxiety with Purple

Backstory hcs! (ones with asterisks have a TW for mentions of depression/suicidal ideation!)

Purple loved to play video games with Red as interns, but when their friendship fell out they stopped because it reminded them too much of the other. They still were vaguely into some of the fandoms and liked it when new games in their favorite series came out, but the idea that Red would be enjoying them too kinda icked them out of properly playing

When Purple was younger they wanted to be a pilot/captain just like Red, the shared goal was one of the things that kickstarted their bond and they loved to tease each other about who would get the role first

When Purple was poor they spent a lot of time at the local dollar store, the food that was there sustained them a lot better for less than the "good food" you could find at proper supermarkets. They also ate a lot of candy during this time (cheap, delicious, and fills kinda well) which only caused them further problems from the tooth rot...

***They struggled with hygiene due to depression, and the lack of proper food also made them somewhat malnourished, leading them to be clearly a lot less well-off than before when Red saw them on the Skeld again

***They were passively suicidal, kinda wishing for a car to hit them or the like but never wanting to actively hurt themself. They mostly lived for Heracles; the idea that they'd die without their help was the one thing that got them out of bed most mornings
