The amazing bean pods of Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis 'Red Noodle' (yard-long bean, Chinese red noodle, bora, bodi, long-podded cowpea, asparagus bean, pea bean, snake bean) can reach over 50cm but it is suggested they are best pick at about 30cm when they are sweet, tender and stringless. The plants need a warm and sheltered location and can be grown under cover.
