For our all of our children’s future, PLEASE watch and share this video. Give Andrew Yang 5 minutes and I bet you’ll want to give him your vote.
There is no cut on welfare programs. The money some are confused with is from the OPT-IN difference aka Welfare Overlap. People who do not opt-in for the Freedom Dividend will not see a single dollar lost. If you are receiving more than $1,000/mo in benefits, you may not opt in for the FD. Your benefits are untouched. If you are receiving less than $1,000/mo in benefits, you may want to opt in for the FD. The money you would get + the difference to add up to $1,000. Example: If you are receiving $250/mo from SNAP, you may want to opt in for the FD and get a total of $1,000. That $250 you opted out of to get $1,000 would go into the fund to help pay you that $1,000 total. No one else’s money would be touched to give you $1,000. That’s where the VAT comes in to help pay for a huge chunk. The other money comes from a Financial Transaction Tax [like on high-frequency trading], Carbon Fee & Dividend, the reduction of poverty expenses, & the economic growth generated from people being able to have more money to spend. As money should always trickle up. None of this BS trickle down economics that doesn’t work even under the best of circumstances. It stacks on things like SS, so the elderly will be able to get their SS check & the dividend. A decent senior living place costs $2k/mo that provides all utilities, meals, and a maid service. It stacks on Housing Assistance & on Medicaid--however, with Yang’s projected Medicare For All program, most people will opt in to government health insurance and leave their private insurance behind. As long as Medicare expands to a possible 100% of the population, no private insurance company will be able to compete. Yang is also not arguing against Bernie’s, he just wants people to decide on their own of what they want... but the default position for most is to go with Medicare and not Private Health Insurance “MaybeCare” but he’s letting the people decide and not the government decide for them. No M4A plan currently banishes private insurance outright.
