Courts Jamaica scholarships are now open: Furniture and applicance retailer Courts Jamaica on Friday announced the opening of the 2018 application season for its annual customer scholarship programme branded 'Dare to Dream'. Applications opened on June 11 and will close on July 6. The retailer offers three categories of awards: tertiary, GSAT, and skills training. In the tertiary category, Courts offers six grants valued at $250,000 each and four scholarships valued at $400,000 each (for the duration of the programme) for first degree students at any recognised institution in Jamaica. For GSAT, 28 awards valued at $100,000 each, will be awarded to students with a GSAT of 85 per cent or higher. In the skills t category, 10 awards valued at $50,000 each wil be awarded to individuals enrolled in any #HEART Trust/#NTA institution #education #highschool #yallahs #2018scholarships #scholarshipdonor #scholarshipja (at West Albion . A prova de competição de surf profissional anual da Jamaica Surfing Association, o ‘Makka Pro’, promete ser uma das melhores na sua história de nove anos.
A prova será disputada entre os dias 20 e 26 de Julho e será realizada em Southaven, Yallahs, St Thomas.
Com um prize money de mais de um milhão de dólares jamaicanos em dinheiro e prêmios, o evento espera atrair os melhores surfistas de todo a Caribe e dos arredores. Com surfistas internacionais confirmados para chegar de Barbados, Trinidad e Tobago, bem como as costas este e oeste dos EUA, Jamaicanos de toda a ilha já estão treinando para defender o surf e honra da Jamaica, para não falar que o mar tem cooperado ao longo das últimas seis semanas com um swell consistente.
2015 Makka Pro
O padrão de surf jamaicano evolui muito ao longo dos últimos cinco anos, com os jovens jamaicanos utilizando dos melhores equipamentos e materiais disponíveis para o surf.
O Makka Pro 2015 será o campo de provas deste ano e todos os caminhos vão dar em Southaven, Yallahs, St Thomas, Jamaica, onde se poderá testemunhar à coroação dos campeões.
