Easy Chicken Yakitori is a classic Japanese grilled chicken skewer dish marinated in a flavorful sauce. It's perfect for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless. 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup mirin. 2 tbsp sake. 2 tbsp brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 inch ginger, grated. 2 green onions, chopped for garnish. Sesame seeds for garnish.
Instructions: Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill chicken skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
