Resentment.

Fear.

And yet.

Grateful.

Awestruck.

And yet. Completely terrified.

Many emotions crashed from within his chest before the ancient being that had saved him. When death should have taken him. When the reaper held his corpse and should have carried him along her riverbed, he’d opened his eyes again.

His last memory of his fingertips pried apart from his other half’s own, left in the wake of saving Muichiro’s life. But what lady Amane hadn’t known was, he wasn’t dead. Yuichiro was always stubborn. From Muichiro’s prayer, yuichiro held on. He clung to life. But the lady could not feel his pulse any longer. As her footsteps grew more distant, and with her his salvation.

And yet. His eyes opened.

Alive. Human.

For what purpose? He hadn’t known.

As of now, he still held no clue. But he could feel them. Demons. Endless halls. He wasn’t stupid enough to try and explore. He didn’t think his body could handle it even now. But he’s terrified. Only catching a few glimpses of his savior. And he knew he was not human. Not from the extra pair of eyes but something deeper. Something he only caught momentary glimpses.

Like this. The flow of his blood was all wrong. How measured his muscles twitched was far too controlled. Too inhumane.

And he’s scared. He’s terrified. It feels like he couldn’t breathe. Like the air was so dense that it’d choke him. And yet his savior made no attempt to harm him, but to.. help him. Currently changing the bandages wrapped around him.

Muichiro… aniki…I’m scared.
