Rest in peace to the innocent Iranian children killed in the school bombing.
More than a hundred children, ages just 7 to 12 years old, were taken far too soon.
Their parents will never be able to watch them grow up and instead are forced to listen as people treat their babies as nothing more than “collateral damage”.
May God grant them all the highest rank of Jannah and give strength to their families.
Showing mercy towards the creation of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ can be the reason for our forgiveness.
Someone saw Imam Ghazali رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه in his dream and asked: ‘How did Allah Almighty deal with you?’ He replied, ‘Allah Almighty forgave me.’ It was asked: ‘What was the reason for being forgiven?’ He answered: ‘A fly sat on my pen to drink ink, and so I stopped writing until it had done so and flew away.’ (Lataaif-ul-Manan, p. 305)
Six Fridays since my mom died. And still no matter what I’m doing, no matter what time it is, there it is. This weight sitting inside my chest that never lifts. And right next to it, this hollow emptiness that never fills. Both at the same time, always. I don’t get a break from it. Not even for a second.
It’s 3:38am and I’m wide awake because of it.
It’s like carrying something heavy that is somehow also nothing at all and it makes me so nauseous that I just freeze. Completely. I can’t do anything. I just stop.
