Y/N dropped down next to Jean, who was holding a blanket around her shoulders. “Everything alright?”

She pulled the blanket closer to her body, “It’s freezing.”

They held back a laugh, “Is that really all?”

She looked at them with an exasperated look, “Are you not?”

“Nope.”

“I-how?”

“Oh, I don’t know maybe, oh!” They tossed their arms up, “Maybe it’s because I can control fire and for some reason my body temperature has decided to be above 100 degrees at all time.”

She pulled the blanket closer to her, “You know, you never did tell me, how did you find out?” 

“Find what out?”

“You could control fire and that you’re always hot.”

“Well, I was always told that I was hot so that’s how I found that out.”

She laughed, “Y/N.”

“Alright, alright,” They sighed as Jean shivered, “Would you like me to warm you up?”

“Please?” They held back another laugh as they lifted their arm for her to curl into. Their arm fell to lay on Jean’s shoulders. “I’m feeling warmer already.”

They smiled and kissed her temple, “I was 10. I had just gotten into a really bad fight with my mother. I couldn’t control my anger and soon my clothes caught on fire and just...I don’t know. I think I nearly gave my mom a heart attack.”

“Is that really it?”

“I guess. Honestly, I can’t really think because I’m wanting to keep you warm.”

She leaned in and kissed them softly, “Y/N, I love you and I am warm enough.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“I just remembered that there is an unlit fireplace in front of us.”

“Y/N Y/L/N, are you trying to flirt?”

“Is it working?”

She stayed silent for a moment until she sighed, “Yes.”

They smiled and moved their hand lightly before motioning to the fireplace and it lit. They looked at her again, “Warm?”

“Always since I’m with you.”

“Cheesy. I like it.”

Anon’s Request: “ Maybe something where the reader really likes Angel's wings? Like they always find an excuse to touch them or admire them but could never openly admit they like the wings because they're too shy?”

“You know, you could just tell him.”

Y/N groaned, burying her face in her crossed arms. She knew Jubilee had a point. She also knew that admitting something like this was so embarrassing. The only reason Jubilee had even found out was because she had caught Y/N staring for too long! “Stop,” she whined, voice muffled by her hoodie. “Please, you’ve tormented me enough, don’t you think?”

“I don’t count this as tormenting. Tormenting was when I dyed Kurt’s hair pink. And put John’s underwear in the freezer. I’d even consider setting Bobby’s room to 96 degrees and breaking the thermostat as tormenting. But this – “

Scott Summers x Jean Grey

Request: for anon. Scott Summers and Jean Grey waking up together?

Notes: This takes place in the alternate timeline after Apocalypse.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I loved writing it! Sorry, it’s so short! 

The redhead stirred softly, the sound of a heartbeat weaving itself through her ear. It was steady, sure. Jean gently twisted out of his arms, the sunlight hitting her face to warm her. 

“Took you long enough” Scott’s sarcastic tone was a welcome interruption of the silence.

Jean lifted an eyebrow, scooting back into his embrace, “Couldn’t help it, you’re just such a soft pillow.” She teased, bringing his lips upward in a tiny smile. 

The pair lay there, Jean’s fingers tracing gentle patterns on her fellow mutant’s chest. “How many times a day do you wish we were normal?”

Scott’s hand halted on the small of her back, the soothing gesture frozen. “All the time.”

She moved her gaze from the wall toward Scott’s ruby quartz covered one. 

“But then I remember how lucky I am.”

Jean scoffed at her boyfriend’s hopelessly optimistic tone. “Lucky how? If you were normal then maybe you could see without having to worry about killing someone.”

A soft chuckled escaped from the mutant, “Yeah, but then I wouldn’t have met you.” His hand moved from her spine to play with her hair, fingers twirling the bright strands.

Jean smiled into his chest, “Dork.”

Her thoughts wandered again, this time to the other kids at the school with them. They saw her as a monster. Something that needed to be remedied, to be stopped. Even Xavier didn’t fully trust her yet. Her stomach twisted at the thought. Would anyone ever trust her? 

God, she wished she was normal. Wished she could wake up next to Scott without having to worry about world-ending threats every day. Sit at the table with her friends without worrying about how the other kids would treat them. 

She did more harm than good.

Maybe life would be easier if she just took herself out of the equation.

“You’re spacing again” Scott’s calming voice brought her back to life, “Tell me what’s up.”

Jean sat up, joining him against the headboard. “I was thinking about how the other kids treat us.”

An exasperated sigh left Scott’s mouth, his soothing fingers brushing a few flaming locks behind her ear. “I keep telling you not to worry about them. If anyone messes with you I’ll just kick their ass.”

Jean let out an involuntary laugh at his dedication. “I appreciate that Scott, really I do. But I don’t want you guys to have no friends because of me.”

Scott tilted his head, “Well I can’t speak for the others, but I know that I would rather stay friends with you than with those assholes.” He laced his hand with hers, “The luckiest day of my life was when I met you and now…”

“You know me better than anyone ever has or ever will” Jean continued, “You know that if you stay with me your life will only get worse.”

He shrugged, “So what? I’d take you over an easy life any day.”

Butterflies burst in her chest at the admission and she gently pressed her lips to his in a chaste kiss.

“So, breakfast time?” He asked, smirk dotting his face.

Maybe Scott was right. Maybe they were lucky after all.

Sorry, it’s so short. It’s been a while since I’ve seen an X-Men movie, so I didn’t want to get the dynamic wrong, plus I just felt like this was a natural ending point.

@the-shadow-of-atlantis​ Okay so I’ve already asked for a DC and HP one so I’ll do Marvel this time. I’m smol, brown hair now, brown eyes. I do like outdoor activities but also like to chill inside and pretty good with crafts though I tend to procrastinate at the end. Fun Fact I occasionally listen to conspiracy theories but don’t actually believe them they’re just amusing to listen to.

Each person has a tattoo that matches someone else’s. It moves across your body only responding to you and your soulmate. When you meet your tattoo will tell you. 

Andrea’s tattoo is a sun 

Andrea is the princess in a cult. She helps heal people with her powers also can change their mind on things like “heal’ their brains. 

The man who runs it calls himself her father 

She trusts him but never understood why she couldn’t go out and see the world.

But she does keep her tattoo from him. 

There are lots of mutants that come here to help and Andrea helps them but there are three younger mutants that are like her siblings. 

They don’t have as much faith as she does in their father but she helps them 

Her tattoo moves around her body and is almost like her pet. She tells it her secrets about how she someday wants to explore the world and see things outside of her life. 

One day her father locks her up in her room unexpectedly. She knows something is going down. 

Then Kurt teleports into her room

“You have to go, we are breaking you all free” takes her hand and teleports her outside where Jean tells her she’s going to be ok 

Her tattoo responds to him. His is a moon. They realize they are soulmates.

She stands confused with the X-men as they burn down the cult

Two of her siblings are crying because apparently, their father killed one of them while trying to stop the X-men from coming in.

Professor Xavier tells Andrea that her father got away but he will help her and anyone else. 

She agrees to stay and help any members who need it. 

May chose to leave but her siblings chose to stay with her.   

Kurt coming into her bedroom and talking to her 

Their tattoos respond to each other 

Andrea admitting she’s not sure what all this means so Kurt tells her it means that they will be a team forever. No matter what. 

Flashback to Kurt coming to live with the X-men after the village tried to burn down the monastery that he lived in. 

The crowd chanted “Kill the demon” “kill the demon” over and over pounding their sticks into the earth over and over and 

Kurt wakes up in a panic to Andrea knocking on his door “I couldn’t sleep. I don’t know why but…”

“You trust me?”

They fall asleep together 

Training 

It’s hard but she knows they are trying to help 

Bonds with Jean 

Kevin is grumpy that they are here and not with their father.

Kurt and Andrea practice at night umong the Stars. 

They almost kiss but Kevin interrupts   

They all into a routine 

lots of cute fun stuff 

The team brings back Kurt hurt 

Andrea helps him 

Kurt kisses her “I loved you from the moment I met you but… I know what I look like…”

She kisses him back

Andrea tries to fight him off but she can’t 

The X-men join together and help to fight the mutant cult 

Kurt: “We are your family now” 

Andrea and her father face-off 

It gets really intense

He's about to beat her when Kurt comes in and fights him back 

They link arms and their tattoos meet up their power flowing.

They take him down and then help fight off the cult. 

Kurt kisses her telling her she is so brave.

“We are so brave, we are a team”
