Isabel scoffed, looking up at him from the comfort of her den. “Oh yeah?” she raised a brow, hands going to her hips, “Better start figurin’ it out. Spikes already tried five times” she laughed, clearly proud of herself.

Jet still was barely talking to her despite the couple days she had been aboard. Spike had suggested she just be herself around him, he would get used to her sooner or later. The idea stemmed from there. 

Be yourself. He’s bound to like you. 

Shura decided to do what she done best. Drink. She went out and brought some different drinks, making her favourite cocktail for him. Shura wouldn’t tell him what it was she was making, but he seemed game to at least try as he sat at the table watching her root around the place for something to mix it with. There still seemed to be some awkwardness, she would never quite gain his eye contact for long. 

“Obviously, but since y’aint got a shaker it’s the best I can do” she huffed, mixing the ingredients, making sure the ice had chilled it enough before straining it into the glasses, adding in the mixer and slices of lemon and orange. “Put yer beer down it’ll ruin the taste” Shura instructed, bringing the glasses over and placing his in front of him.

ɪɴ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴀʏꜱ ᴅᴏᴇꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴍᴜꜱᴇ ᴇxᴘʀᴇꜱꜱ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ᴘᴀʀᴛɴᴇʀ?

faye can struggle to verbally express her love so she often resorts to teasing ( that may border on being a little mean but it's out of love, promise!!) . it depends on how secure she feels in the relationship and whether the other person can handle it or not. initiating ' i love you ' first may come every once in a blue moon, but she will always say it back. she will spend more time with that person, even if it means sitting in silence while they each do their own thing, taking special care to listen to them when they speak, and even leaving them alone if they wish for it. she respects giving space and having space and is not clingy in the slightest. but she does enjoy and crave intimacy/touch (rubbing their arm/hand/leg, fixing their collar, wiping a smudge from their face, little notes like that) and probably does her best expression of love in bed... wink wonk.

She was so excited to tell him, having practically ran all the way back if it wasn’t for the shopping. The girl wondered to herself if she should show him the bracelet or not, worried he would have it off her for some reason or another. But Isabel just couldn’t contain herself the moment she saw him, he had to know everything. At first, following him to the kitchen was a run down of the key points. 

Isabel sat at the table as instructed, taking the treat bag and placing it on the table for Jet to look through. It had both their favourite candy plus Spike’s and Faye’s and Ed’s! Isabel’s legs swung underneath her, clearly still impatient in telling her story. 

“Thanks” she spoke as the glass was in front of her, “But Jet y’gotta here this” she grinned, leaning forward a little. “Okay, we got t’shop ‘n’ we were gettin’ what we needed but there was this weird guy in there. He was huge, had a weird wig ‘n’ cape” she repeated, taking a sip of her drink, “I was lookin’ at him, I thought he looked a bit like ya, but he saw me. I thought I was gonna die. But I asked him about his wig ‘n’ he laughed”. 

Jet wasn’t going to get the highlights. He would be getting the whole story. 

that girl had courage. no less, because she looked like she had to fight for the pennies in her pocket. jet had an eye for those types of people. seen too many of them in his days as a cop. he got weary of seeing more and more children involved in poverty at some point. whatever they said about the future several hundred years ago, it wasn’t real.

blue-grey hues looked at the little person beside him. prosthetic hand holding on to her arm so she wouldn’t just run away after having snatched his wallet from his trouser pocket. skilled thing, that one. but jet knew all the tricks. ❝ that’s entirely up to you, kid. ❞  he said. ❝ you gimme back my wallet and i won’t have to do anything about it. ❞

"Huh?!" she frowned, not particularly in a position to refuse the man who was holding her at least two feet from the ground by her arm, but she was going to anyway. "No way! I won it fair 'n' square" she scoffed, wriggling about in his grasp, a leg wrapped around his bicep, as she pushed against his chest with her other.
