I'm thinking about darkening his eyebrows a bit. And I need to adjust the ReShade preset again; something went wrong there. Oh well, no big deal… But next time I'll probably take a picture of my settings so I don't forget what I changed. Everything was supposed to look a touch darker, but somehow it all turned out lighter. I'll fix that later…EDIT: now it's fine.

Tragedy seems to follow Penny and Xander. The outgoing socialite who loves court life thought she was marrying her prince charming when she said 'I do' to the proposal from the Clavell family... instead, Xander turned out to be a disloyal, childish hot-head with very little care for family or her feelings. Unfortunately, Penny was attracted to him enough to not care. They were married in 1302, with their first child born in 1304, Gaetano Clavell. Penny miscarried in 1306 before two years later finally having her second child, Catia Clavell - only to lose her in the smallpox epidemic in 1309. And then Gaetano began to cough, to get sicker and sicker until they lost him. Penny is once again pregnant but now she's terrified. She can't lose another child.

Penny Pizzazz, 30

Losing both of her children, as well as having a miscarriage almost halfway through a pregnancy has scrubbed away a lot of Penny's shine. She still enjoys living at court, in being seen and participating in acts of courtly love, but it's harder now that she's lost so much. She can only hope this next baby survives.

Xander Clavell, 31

Xander married Penny because his mother told him to. She knew he needed a wife to manage him properly so before her death she made sure he'd be looked after. Not that Xander appreciated her efforts - or Penny. He's a rather self-centered, immature and always happy to indulge himself. But he does like Penny, and he was genuinely sad to lose Gaetano and Catia. He loved them both and the burden of their loss is something he still feels but like Penny he is hoping their next child turns things around.
