so i finally made xaku
An aproximation of a picture I saw in my dream once
I've been getting super into warframe lately, like maybe worryingly so, i blitzed through like 13 years of expansions in 2 weeks.
When i was in the academy, there was this girl in my classes whose legs were different sizes. It wasn't especially noticeable if you saw them, but she had the most distinct gait i know because of it.
Im saying this because I recently completed the grind for Xaku, who is one of the most unique looking frames DE has made.
Light spoilers ahead
When you think of warframes its better to think of them as people rather than robots, mainly because they are people and not robots.
Xaku is the only warframe referred to using They/Them pronouns because they are 3 people, but they are 3 people in the same way Frankensteins monster was 7+ people; Xaku is an amalgamation of warframes that had been lost, merged together and brought back so they still function, serving long past death.
The process of becoming a warframe is already horrifying to begin with, the body being twisted into something else entirely and all. But at least it's still your body.
The process behind the creation of Frankensteins monster was also horrifying but at least each piece of the monster was selected to compliment each other piece, the monster was stitched together but it was created with intent.
Xaku is neither of those things. Each part is already a twisted piece of an original person, but they were stitched together randomly. The pieces dont match each other. specifically for this post; Xakus legs don't match and not only do they not match they are not the same size.
One foot is permanently on tip toes; the musculature is entirely different. Actually, no bodypart matches another. A mans leg on one side and a womans on the other. Their torso is female, except the right pectoral and arm is a mans, and it seems like their single breast is stitched from 2 different women. Their head is almost whole, but the face was carved out and replaced with someone elses.
You can tell in the designs of other warframes that they are wearing clothes, Xaku is naked, completely naked, their chassis textured like you can see the veins in their skin, you can see the nipple in their singular breast (the male half is censored smh).
And there's still more because underneath all of that, they are a skeleton! They can take off their flesh and run around as a skeleton isnt that just delightful

Why does my Xaku have worms
CAN I PET THIS WARFRAME?
PLEASE DO! THIS IS A ZAKU. ITS BODY IS MADE OF UNRELATED PARTS, WHICH CAUSES IT TO HAVE A HIGH LEVEL OF ANXIETY. PETTING THE ZAKU WILL DECREASE STRESS AND ANXIETY FOR THE ZAKU AND FOR YOU.
Today's Nonbinary Character Is:
Xaku from Warframe!
Xaku uses they/them pronouns.
