09/02/2020 - Seven Years Old
Today my first born turns seven years old, and although it still feels like just yesterday I was holding you in my arms for the first time, I’ve never been happier nor prouder to play such a significant part in your life. I’ve watched you grow from a tiny tot to a handsome, independent young man. I love you so much more than you will ever know and I am so proud you chose me to be your mama, Maddox.

We were blessed with taking our two new little angels home last Tuesday after almost a two-week stay in the hospital. These are some photos that we managed to capture throughout that stay.
I’m going to try to post a little bit more frequently about our family but with two newborns, a two-year-old and a five-year-old, it is quite hard.

We found out about Saskia at our 20-week scan and planned to keep her a secret until birth. We were shocked as it was to discover Ada was pregnant with twins, nevermind our first baby girl. Both are currently away to the NICU getting settled down and checked up on. Tests will be done on both babies to ensure their health is 100% before we can even think about taking them home.
My wife did an amazing job once again. I’m so very proud of her and glad to be a father again.

We’ve been here for seven hours now and only recently have been moved to our own private room. The doctors have come back with their results showing that I am indeed going into labour at 31 weeks and 3 days. Due to this, the little Michels’ will have to be monitored carefully to ensure there are no complications nor defects.
I’m feeling a little bit panicky and scared about giving birth this early seeing as with Maddox he was a week late and with Lennon, he was only a few days early. Praying nothing goes wrong and that everything goes according to the plan.
My waters broke around an hour and a half ago meaning its go time, especially since I’m already 4cm dilated. River will most likely be posting any remaining updates.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours. We didn’t expect to be spending all day and night in the hospital but unfortunately, that is the case! We went in today for our regular appointment and apparently my blood pressure was low, as well as having unusual cramps and backache which I never experienced in my previous pregnancies.
Both Maddox and Lennon are currently staying over at our friend Neriah’s house as it’s where they feel most comfortable due to it being so close to our home.
The doctors are thinking I might be going into early labour but are currently doing tests to find out if that indeed is the case or whether its something else. Either River or I will update you guys when we know some more.
