Here's me as a 17 year old. Or something like that.
Gen X came of age in the 70's and 80s and we are mostly dorks who grew up with the understanding that capitalism is a lie and we were the first generation expected to make less money than our parents. Which in my case was an especially depressing proposition.
It wasn’t all a lost cause. Willow became a mermaid - only finding out afterwards that the father of her child/ex-husband’s sister was a mermaid as well. They became best friends so she had a strong companion. And as a single mom, Willow raised her little boy Xoan on the beach. Xoan seemed to love the beach and wild and adventure, as much as, if not more, than his mother. He had his mom’s adventurous spirit and strong will.
Willow always kept her eyes and heart open for love, but as she raised her boy and experienced many failed attempts, she was beginning to feel it wasn’t meant to happen for her.

I wonder if 30 years later there will be a millennial culture documental that would be like those from the x generation on NatGeo and we’ll have our own show with a That 70s Show vibe and people will look at us like “whoa this guys were pretty cool”Â
